Paritosh Sharma's Review On Jagannath International Management School - [JIMS] Kalkaji, New Delhi

The entrance exams that i had to pass was CET (Common Entrance Test) of G.G.S.I.P.U. ,the entrance test was not easy to crack but i got 8365th rank which is not that great. I was worried at first that will i get admission in any good college of G.G.S.I.P.U. or not but after a long period of time i got response from G.G.S.I.P.U. about my enrollment for JIMS, Kalkaji.

The education structure of college is quite good, the classes are big enough to fit in 60 to 70 students, fitted with computers and projectors which make it easy to understand the topics of studies. The course cover all basics and essentials that are important for business administration. Subjects like "BUSINESS ETHICS" and "VALUES AND ETHICS" not only helps in teaching the calculations and learn the tactics of corporate world, but also teaches hoe to actual operate the business in an ethical manner.

Yes the college offers internship and we even have to prepare a report on the internship. Normaly the internships doesn't provide any stipend, but it usually depends on the company that is providing internship facility. Companies like Quicker and Zapplon provided internships in the 5th semester.

Their is wide variety of companies to choose from while placement. The companies like Godrej interio came for placements in the college, the package that the companies usually provide after completing B.B.A. from JIMS is from 3 lac rupees per year to 4 lac rupees per year.

Main events that are usually celebrated in every college are Fresher's Party both official and unofficial, fairwell party etc. The major event is SPANDAN that is a collective annual event for all IPU colleges, the other is ZEST which is a common annual function for all JIMS colleges.

Scholarship is usually provided to those students who are already a student of JIMS pursuing graduation and are planning to study post graduate courses from JIMS itself after completing their graduation. The college provides scholarships upto 4 lac rupees to those student who graduate from JIMS with marks above 85%.

Gender ratio is about 65% boys and 35% girls, there is no tension of ragging, students can easily roam freely in all corners of college. Diversity in college is not very high most of the student crowd in the college are from Delhi or NCR only. Amount of sports competition is not very high as there is no playing ground in the ground in the college, there are some business confrennces held in and out of the college.

The Exams are normal chilled out, the syllabus is not that wide and tough if a student studies one month before he/she can easily score upto 70%. The basic rule to score good in IPU is to write as much as you can. The subjects are easy to understand and really easy to learn and write. The marks that students get in internal are very important as the structure of examination is 25 + 75, 25 is of internal and 75 externals.

The faculty of JIMS, kalkaji are highly qualified most of the faculties are P.hd. They know their work and how to handel the students, but actualy the college is more like a school, their are useless rules like no use of mobile phones in classrooms, and the worst the P.T.M., yes in this college you'll have to bring your parents to get your admit cards for the external exams.
