SLIET review

I applied many colleges through CSAB and finally decided on SLIET and didn't choose other college because this college had highest NIRF ranking. Admission criteria was based on JEE main cutoff which is also based on boards percentage(more than 75%). Admission process was through CSAB and there was no hassle in counselling process.

I chose BE and Computer Science and Engineering because I had interest in it since beginning and even in 11th class I was certain I would choose CSE. More over these days it's a booming field too. Course curriculum is also very diverse so we can get in different fields. All faculties are well qualified having Ph.D. and Masters from IITs etc. Student teacher ratio is good too. Exams were timely but got disrupted due to COVID-19, passing them was moderately difficult.

We mostly have to go for off campus interships although insititue provides it's own training program in which we're given tasks. There are provisions for summer internships etc. Stipend varies from company to company.

Students can be placed in last year and it's remote location so not many companies come but still there is pool campus. Almost all students from CSE can get places and highest package this year was from ECE ~ 23 lakh/annum. My plans after getting a degree is to dive in exciting field of CSE.

There was some fee hike this year and although I didn't apply for scholariship, there are many provisions for central and state ones based on financial criteria etc. I just started second year so there are no internships yet.

Tech fest and Cultural fests are conducted and apart from that many small fests are conducted by students and faculty too. Library has all the books on needs and classrooms have appropriate amenities. There are cricket, football, basketball ground and all equaipment is provided. There are many clubs ranging from social to tech. There're indoor and outdoor gyms as well. This year all fests were online due to COVID-19. Students can open their own new club with funding too.

I got single room due to COVID, otherwise typically till 4th year 3 people share a room. Meal was also diverse and suitable. Registration for hostel is done easily and it's affordable along with the mess. All hostels ahev seperate mess and some playing area within themselves too. There are various facilities inside hostel itself.
