For admission in BTech (any course) is based on the Entrance Exam conduct by WBJEE & JELET or can take direct admission on a merit basis. I don't apply to any of the colleges for this program except my college. No, I don't avail any quota for admission in this college. Admission Criteria (Electrical Engineering): should be passed (10+2) examination with science stream and mathematics as a compulsory subject. obtained at least 45% for general and OBC (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserve category) Direct admission in BTech (2nd year) as a lateral entry, students should be passed Diploma from an AICTE approved institute with at least 45% for general and OBC. On the day of counselling: students have to fill an admission form with the choice of course or branch offered by the college along with the mandatory document like - All previous results (original & photocopy), identity proof, passport size photo, etc.

The course curriculum of BTech in Electrical Engineering has a 4 years program after passing (10+2) and 3 year program after passing a Diploma. I have chosen electrical engineering because I loved it. I have been an electrical guy from the beginning. I have spent years in electrical engineering and learnt a lot of small things. A student to faculty ratio is one of the most important criteria for Quality Education. Our college has a student to faculty ratio of 1:20. There are exams conducted by both the college and the university. The college conduct exams every month and the exams conducted by the university is only one time per semester. The level of the exams is not much difficult and is quite easy to clear if you have studied properly throughout the semester.

Student basically applies for off campus internship and select their preferred companies to hire them as an intern. Their average stipend provide by the company varies between 10000 to 17000 and students get a lot of experience.

The student generally become eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester. Most of the tech giants like TCS, COGNIZANT, WIPRO, DELL and many other similar tech companies visit our college and recruiting students. The highest salary provides till now is 15 LPA and the average of 3-4 LPA which varies from company to company. Nearly 80% of the students get placed during the time of campus placement.

NSHM is well known engineering college and the fees charged by the college is the lowest. Other engineering colleges charge a fee of an average of 5 lakhs and the fees of our college is only 3.8 lakhs for all the courses offered. The motto of our college is to provide quality education at a very low price.

Our college is well known for organizing top-class annual festivals and tech fests. Students from hundreds of colleges come to participate in the tech fest and the winner has got recognition nationwide. Sports tournaments, cultural events, arts events, project events are organised by our college every couple of months and the students & teachers from their respective clubs come forward to participating in them. Under the order guidance of the college authority, the students have made several social clubs like: ‘ NSHM SEVA SANGHA'., ‘NSHM YUVA KALYAN’ and many more.

Yes, the institute provides a hostel facility to its students. There are separated hostels for both boys and girls with hygienic meals, wifi, laundry equipment, a recreation lounge with a fridge and 24/7 security. The registration process for the hostel is to fill at the time of admission in the admission form with submitting the hostel fees.
