Remarks

The admission was through JOSAA counseling. I got this in 5th round of counseling. I belong to the general category and did not avail any quota. There were no criteria for age and marks. only JEE main score is required.

Course Curriculum Overview

Because I feel coding has many opportunities so I wanted to pursue a degree in computer science. The faculty is average. they teach for formality. The exams are timed and it is not difficult to pass them. Also, the faculty-student ratio is about 1 teacher for 50 students.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 280000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Students find internships on their own. Colleges do not provide internships. Students got internship opportunities in 1k Kirana, NCR corporation, Newton School. Students also got internship opportunities from Samsung.

Placement Experience

From the 7th-semester students become eligible for placements. This year companies visited were HCL, Cognizant, Wipro, Walmart, Microsoft, TCS. Highest package was 23 LPA, average package was 5 LPA, 85-90% students got placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee per semester is 35000. There are scholarship schemes like tuition fee waiver scheme and ONGC scholarship. Tuition fee per semester is 25000. Hostel fee is 3500. Mess charges are 81 rs per day.

Campus Life

Techfest and cultural fest are held every year. Techfest was conducted in the month of September. Central library is available within the campus for books. There are sports and games in the student activity centre like chess, squash, table tennis, checkers etc. There are many lubs run by students like SSDC, Happy Club, Endeavour Club.

Hostel Facilities

There is a bed, study table, balcony, almirah , tubelight, fan in the room. There is fixed menu for mess and the quality is good. Hostel is affordable with very low fees of 3500 per semester. Hostel has badminton court and volleyball court

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students become eligible for the placements and they should not have any backolgs or reappers in the exam and they should have morethan then 5 cgpa . as i am from the 2nd yeari donot know more aboutm the placement offered made but the average packagr is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annual and around 70 to 80 percent of students are get selected in placement . and planns after getting the degree is to do higher studies in aerospace designing in the aircrafts.

Placement Experience:

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Here, all MNC like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, and many other companies come to our campus for hiring. In the very last year 2 students got selected with a prestigeous 2.5cr & 1 cr packages.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

The course curriculum should be rated on how useful and complete it is. A good one covers all important topics like Software , Networking , Automata , SQLetc. it is mix theory and practical work . For CSE studendent there are coding laguage like C++ in 3rd sem and DSA in 4th semester.

True experience of a SLIET Student

I only looked for government colleges as they are affordable and well-reputed. I applied for several colleges and got selected for IIFPT Thanjavur and GGU Bilaspur but I wanted to study mechanical engineering and out of all options, this college was best known for its mechanical engineering course and lab facilities. Internship apportunities in SLIET, Longowal

I applied in sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology in first seven round but I got electronic engineering which I didn't want, so I waited for special round and then I got Computer science. I am in general so I didn't get any quota for admission but obc and sc st have quota in the college. To get into sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology, you have to give entrance exam and the cut off of the college generally goes around 130-140 for general category.
