SLIET - A hope of future

Admission was through JOSSA counseling after JEE Mains exam. I have taken admission under the general quota. At least a 90 percentile JEE Mains score is required for admission in this college. The admission process was hassle-free and everything ran smoothly.

I chose this couse because computer science and engineering trade is in demand nowadays and also I love to code is a reason to choose this course. The faculty-student ratio is 1:25 which is decent in my opinion. Faculties are qualified and but they are not supportive all the time. Term exams are taken on time and are good enough which requires sincere study to pass. Overall the course curriculum is meeting industry needs and are updated frequently.

Internship opportunities are less in number but still, some students find internships on their own, and also college helps in getting them. College's placement cell is improving day by day and will surely bring more internship opportunities in upcoming years.

Students become eligible for campus placements in final year. Several companies like Infosys, TCS,etc visit campus for placements and this year IBM also visited for the same. Highest package this year was of 23Lp.a. and average package was of 4L p.a. More than 80% of students have been placed through campus placements this year. I'm also looking for a decent job after my degree.

I have not experienced any fee hike since joining the college. Fee structure is a main reason which attracts students to this college. As it has fees of less than 4L for the whole course. Scholarships are offered to talented students time-to-time which is very helpful. Internship opportunies are less which is a concerning matter.

TechFest, Madhuram, etc are some fests which are organised every year in a grand way. Central library is well equipped with all the books and journals of need. Classrooms have good facilities like WiFi , smart monitors,etc. For sports the college is having both indoor and outdoor stadium and a cricket stadium too. There are various clubs like InternWell, Endeavour, Software Development Club, College Time Developers ,etc are run by students in the coordination of professors.

Hostel facility is provided at a very low cost which is very good. Bed and a chair and table are provided with fan and light are enough for students. The meal quality of mess is average. For registering for hostels you have to opt-in for hostels and then you will be allotted a room number. For 1st and 2nd year students a 3 seater room is alloted but fo pre-final and final year students single room is alloted. If someone wants to live outside the college P.Gs are available are affordable rates outside the college.
