Remarks
I have applied for two or three colleges from Kolkata and this college from Asansol. I opted for this college among those as it is in my hometown. So I did not attend the other colleges and took admission in this college. The admission criteria were that the applicant should have passed the 10+2 examination with Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics etc as a subject and degree in science.. Also applicant should have obtained at least 45% marks in the above subjects taken together. Admission is taken by securing merit ranks in WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) & JEE (MAINS). The counseling was conducted online as I remembered.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose Computer Science and Engineering as CSE has emerged as a very popular educational course. A degree in the course gives you the foundation skills needed to pursue a career in coding or computer programming. The faculty is good. They are really very well and qualified with a high level of expertise. They are always available to guide and support you. The term exams are monthly and the difficulty level was moderate. If a student studies well, then they can easily pass the exam with a good score.
Placement Experience
An average number of students get placed every year from the college. TCS is one of the mass recruiters. Most of the students get placed if they prepare well for the placement procedures. Other than this, there were other companies for the recruitment e.g. Cognizant, Mindtree, Accenture, Infosys, etc
Fees and Financial Aid
The selection of students happens merit based which is by securing marks in WBJEE or JEE (MAINS) exam. The fee structure is actually different for different courses.For B.Tech, it is Rs. 3,50,000 to Rs. 4,00,000 more or less for 4-year course..
Campus Life
Student Life on campus was actually fun. Our college organized tech fest an annual fest every year. The annual fest is usually conducted in summer, The fest runs for three days and every type of entertaining activity is performed there. The library has a great collection of books for studying. There are also different kinds of sports activities present in the college.
