Course Curriculum Overview
the course curriculum of this colleg is very different. The MBA programme is divided into six trimesters. Marketing, Finance, HR or Operations is offered as a specialization from the third trimester. Students are also exposed to the corporate world through industry - academia interface, special guest lectures, workshops, summer internship and short term projects, all of which are a part of the course design and has to be compulsorily taken up by the students.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides students with an amazing opportunity of summer internship. One of the major objectives of Summer Internship Projects is to enable students to transfer their knowledge gained in classrooms to the workplace as well as to familiarize students with the complexities of the corporate world first hand. The process for pursuing summer internship which is to be undertaken at the end of the first year is more or less identical to the final placement process. Apart from availing of the opportunities to do internship in companies through the campus process, students also have the freedom to choose companies on their own. CCR will ensure that every student will have a Summer Internship opportunity in his/her chosen stream of specialization. The process usually begins in mid – October each year. The prescribed Summer Internship period is six to eight weeks from mid – April to mid – June every year. Special workshops are conducted in February each year, where instructional material is also handed out. Students can choose any of the BGU faculty as their academic mentor. The Summer Internship Project Report is of 6 credits. An excellent summer project report would be a passport to a dream job.
Campus Life
The foremost thing I noticed as soon as I started to settle in my new room, new campus and a new way of life was the diversity of students from varied regions, religions, dialect, experiences and values. The very nuances of everyday campus life forms a part of the learning process at BGU. Be it our knowledge sharing academic sessions, group projects, working in communities for managing industry visits, placements, theater, sports, campus festival celebrations, adventure trips and so on; we are completely hands on in every facet of 'Management Education' and without even realizing are shifted gears from 'knowing' mode to 'doing' mode.
