Remarks
The reviews here are all cooked up, possibly put up by pressuring the current students. Many of them are my good friends and there is a clear disparity between what they think about the college and what they have posted here. Shows the level of desperation as the admissions are going down.
Entrance Preview
I took MH CET to get into engineering. I opted for this college because I wanted to stay in Nashik and amin those days (2011) the college had good reputation.
Course Curriculum Overview
This college follows the curriculum given by University of Pune. However ut us quite outdated and lacks practical approach. This college follows the curriculum given by University of Pune. Internships Opportunities
No not at all. The training and placement cell is a complete joke. All the reviews here from other students is a complete baloney. At first the college doesn't help you in getting any internship and even if you get any with your efforts, the college doesn't give the NOC to attend it. One of my classmate has had a really bad experience.
Placement Experience
I have already mentioned that above. DO NOT EXPECT ANY PLACEMENT FROM HERE. No companies visit the campus. Most of the students are unaware of the competitive scenario. Leaves a sour taste at the end of 4 years. Also the TPC doesn't pass on any information about possible opportunities or certifications. A complete no no.
College Events
During December to March every year, a lot of technical, cultural events take place in the college. The college was well known for its technical events once, but with the sudden change in exam structure like mid sem exams etc, students do not get much time to organised the events. Slowly the culture is on a decline. But the cultural events are celebrated well.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure is in sync with the current standards that are there in the engineering arena. However the facilities provided are really poor and cut a solid figure. But the college is lenient and allows for late payment of fees. All in all the fees structure is feasible when you compare it with the benchmark but a big thumbs down when it comes to facilities.
Fees and Financial Aid
Students are eligible for all the scholarships offered by the Government of Maharashtra and Government of India. Loan facility is provided by the college.
Campus Life
Campus life in the end depends on you. I enjoyed my stay particularly with the friends that I got here. College gives the freedom to students to organised different events which proves to be a good experience. The events here is the only good thing about this college. The crowd is understanding and cooperative. You would seldom come across a problem like gender discrimination or politics.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is quite a messy place, unclean and unkempt. The atmosphere is farely ok. No ragging as such and the students are friendly making up for a good stay. The food is pathetic. Canteen is not good as well. Overall an experience which you shall be happy to forget.
Alumni/Alumna
No alumni network at all. Recently I got a call from a newly joined professor from the college who apparently heads the alumni cell. His approach was extremely unprofessional. Clearly lacking a civil sense. I don't know how they are going to build a strong alumni network through such a pathetic means.
Exam Structure
Since the college follows Uni Pune syllabus so the exam structure is just like any other engineering college. Yes the exam structure is quite relaxed. You get plenty of time to prepare for the examinations be it the mid sem or end semester examinations. Also there aren't much assignments given during the semester.
Faculty
They might be qualified with post graduate degrees but they are really poor on technical front and experience.in order to generate student's interest in a subject, the faculty has to have the in-depth domain knowledge which is dearly missing. Most of them read out from the text book and the teaching style is not at all interactive or something which will urge you to attend lectures.in the end it just becomes a mechanical process to complete attendance - a huge waste of time.
