Remarks

I applied for DCRUST as it is in my home city and it is very easy to commute to and fro. DCRUST, Murthal has a really simple admission procedure based on the score of JEE Mains. The student has to apply for HSTES Counselling and if you get a seat, then have to pay Rs. 10000 online as a token fee for finalizing the seat. Just uploading documents online on the HSTES website is enough for the admission process. If you don't get admission through online counselling, no problem apply for offline counselling through the DCRUST website and you will get admission easily. In offline counselling, you have to pay Rs. 500 as counselling fee and you will get time and date for counselling and you can take your documents like 12th mark sheet, jee mains scorecard and any govt. identity card with you. Admission is easy and straightforward.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication as the course gives experience and advantage of both worlds, private IT sector as well as an advantage in govt. Jobs. Though the syllabus is harder than any other branch in B.Tech. but the faculty is friendly and solves all doubts. Teachers are a little hesitant if students call them but any student can drop a WhatsApp message to any of the faculty and the student will get a reply ASAP. Talking about faculty: student ratio, it's not quite good as we have 2 divided with approx 71 students in each, so the faculty: student ratio can be said as 1:71 for Electronics and Communication but teachers are really helpful and solve queries of every student. All faculty is well qualified and maximum teachers have a PhD in the subject they teach. And when it comes to exams, all exams were taken timely even in covid pandemics. Though ECE is considered the hardest branch but the exams were quite based on practical knowledge rather than cramming books.

Internships Opportunities

4

Many companies like TCS, Finserv, Mediatek and many others come to DCRUST for providing jobs as well as internships with stipends. Students are given projects and if the projects are completed on time with dedication under internships, students may get placement offer without any interview from the company.

Placement Experience

4.5

In third year starting only students get internships which could be paid and non paid depending upon how much students used their time evloving themselves and in starting of fourth year only, students get placements offers. Though majority of the students are recruited by TCS, there are many other big companies that often visit in on campus recruitment including large cokpanies like L&T. Every year, there are 2-3 students who get packages of 28-30 LPA and most of the students get a package of 3.5-4.5 LPA easily. Top scorers get upto 8-10 LPA. Last year also, a student scored a 67 LPA package which is going to be 1 CPA next year. A maximum of students gets placed from CSE and ECE departments. 90-100%students from CSE are placed on campus and 80-90%students are placed from ECE dept. Other branched also get paid but their chanced are much less.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is well settled and the fees are not too much if compared to other institutions instead DCRUST has half the yearly fees of UIET, KUK in B. Tech. in every branch. Every B. Tech. branch has the same fees structure, INR 10000 counselling fee at the time of admission in the first year, INR 35400 every odd semester fees and INR 9750 every even semester fees which sum up to just INR 1,90,600 for whole programs and there are no other charges (except if someone gets a backlog, he has to pay to reappear fee). Out of this INR 1,90,600, INR 2000 is a security deposit which we will get back when the program is completed. So, whole B. Tech. will cost you INR 1,88,600 excluding hostel charges. Students good in studies also get many scholarships that exempt even 100% of fees if students scores in the top 10% of students of the class. The university also provides jobs and paid internships which can help financially and out of which fees can be easily paid.

Campus Life

4

There are unlimited fests every year in the university, every month you can see the university decorated and getting ready for an event. All events are very joyful and full of surprises. Most of them include tech fests and book fairs which help students enhance knowledge. It also has a vast library where you can find any book in the world. Even many of the students never buy and book they just get books issued from the university library. Classrooms also are cleaned and well maintained except for some students who have written their names on walls and benches. Also, the university helps with all other extracurricular and sports activities. Name any sport and the team could be found in the university. There are many clubs and social groups in the university but the main event hosting group is named "Pratibimb", and the tech community CCBP 4 0 DCRUST and many others.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am in the computer science and engineering branch. I want to be a software developer and I am passionate about coding and I love to code that's why I am chosen this branch. The faculty members of my college are awesome and helpful. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. They cooperate with students in every situation . they focus much on the weak student so they can also pass the exam. they use the blackboard and smart classes both to teach the student effectively. we have industrial exposure also. the well built spacious will have no importance if not for the wonderful faculty the college has. All are faculty members are highly knowledgeable and done their post graduation from one of the top colleges like IITS. and most of the teachers are GATE qualified and even it is not once. they are writing the exam regularly. so, if you prepare for the GATE exam, then you can get great help from them. they used to prepare us for the GATE exam, along with academics

I am a Delhite and my college is on outskirts of Delhi and also i being residing near du north campus used to think i will enjoy the same college life. but being into a professional (b.tech) course gave me a different view of college and its life. i came to know how to lead a professional ethic life, learnt some good meaningful things.college management is getting strict day by day for laws against students but the other tasks like things that need to be get done from peon are not getting done. ac's dont work even after complaints. in total the college needs a great improvement else it will keep running the business with no fruits.
