Good infrastructure and in facilities

The colleges that I had applied for were SMVDU Katra, Govt college Jammu. Yes, I had applied through the Kashmiri migrant category in Haryana colleges. Regarding admissions, I had secured 92 percent in class 12th board exams and had secured 88 percentile in jee mains. The minimum marks for the same were 92.5 percentile for the general category but as I had applied through the Kashmiri migrant category, therefore my admission was done through my board's percentage. I had applied online through HSTES counseling by filling the form and had filled the choices according to my choices.

This course was chosen by me as the Computer field has the most scope around the world. Everything in this world is reliable on computers. To be honest, as our classes were online so we didn't have that much interaction with the faculty. According to me, the faculty and the student ratio is 1:60. The exams were a bit postponed due to corona but our exams were conducted offline and everythin went right.

Students start getting internships after entering their third year in college. TCS, Wipro, IBM, Intel provide internships in our college. The students can choose their own roles according to their field of interest. Various projects regarding IOT, Robotics, AI, and ML are done by the students.

At the end of the 7th semester, the students become eligible for placements knowing the fact that if he/she is sitting in on-campus placements, he/she has to score more than 7 SGPA in each semester and should have no re appears till the time of placement. The highest package provided on campus was around 12 lakhs per annum and off-campus, it was 67 lakhs per annum. Around 70 percent of students get placed in our college. The max students that get placed are from the CS stream.

In my college, the fee structure of an even semester is about 35000 and of an odd semester, it was about 9500. There are also some scholarships available for TFW and PMSSS category students. Also. the one who performs well in his/her exams gets a scholarship. The average package provided in our college is around 4-5 lakhs per annum.

In our college many cultural fests like RYTHM, PRATIBIMB and CULT and many more. Around 9000 books are available in the library and each student needs an id card provided to issue the books. The classrooms are well furnished and well maintained. Regarding sports, our college has a basketball court named after S. Swamy and world rich lawn tennis court, a football and an athletics ground. There are many societies/ clubs present in our college. The students according to their will can join the groups they have an interest in.

Hostel rooms come with both single, double and triple rooms. The students can choose the rooms according to their own will but in summers, the installation of air coolers is in the hands of students. The meal provided in the hostel is very good in comparison to other college hostels. Registration of hostels is done through the online site and after paying the requisite fee, the student is allotted to the hostels. No, I didn't rent a room.
