Remarks

The whole admission process was done online due to the Covid situation. I got admission on a merit basis. Under the first cutoff, I took admission in ANDC but later under the third cutoff, I changed it to DSC as the scope for Bcom Hons was more in DSC. Even under the third cutoff, 96%(best 4) was required for getting admission in DSC however there was a 1% concession for girl students. So I got into DSC as my best 4 percentage was 95% in class 12.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Bcom Hons as it was predecided and also because I was planning to do CA along with it. So, it would be easier for me to manage both of them simultaneously because a lot of syllabus is similar in both courses. In our college, there is a large faculty for commerce along with the students. Their ratio is somewhat balanced. Most of the teachers have studied from Delhi University itself and have done post graduation in their respective fields. All exams took place at the right time as according to the other colleges of DU.

Internships Opportunities

DSC provides internships for almost all types of companies including small startups. The most common profiles are of reasearch, marketing, graphic designing, digital marketing, etc. with stipend around 1000-5000 or sometimes maybe more than 5000 for high internship profiles.

Placement Experience

According to my experience uptil now, students become eligible for campus placements from fifth or sixth semester. The highest package that was offered was 21 lacs before the Covid situation. Campus placements happen for almost all higher and in demand profiles. I've not yet made any plans for after getting the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are a little bit high as compared to the other colleges of DU. However, it outweighs the overall cost and maintenance. Right now, I haven't received any financial assistance or scholarship or any job or internship opportunities.

Campus Life

Due to the Covid situation, I have not yet visited the college campus. But over the internet, it shows that the overall infrastructure is really good and there are so many places nearby to enjoy ourselves with our friends.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Honest review of SLC

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I have applied for I have applied for few of the north campus colleges and few other colleges from the South campus. I got confirmed admission form DCAC. No I didn't applied for any other college and I choose this college over other college because of the course and the exposure which I get in this college it might be possible I will not get in any other college.
