Remarks
Admission is on the basis of jee main rank and counseling goes through josaa also some seats are reserved for army background and sports quota student which goes through DASA. You have to secure a good rank to get admission to this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am in the civil engineering department. I chose this because of my interest in this department. The course curriculum is very good you have the freedom to choose many other courses. Teachers are also good and well qualified like Ph.D. from good IITs and good experienced.
Internships Opportunities
You can get internships in good companies through this college. In the 6th semester internship is compulsory for all students and it is very helpful for our career if your academic scores are good you can easily get an internship in a good company.
Placement Experience
Placements are very good if you came from a circuital branch you can easily get a good package offer. Total More than 100 companies of software, finance, and consultancy, core, FMCG, education sector came to college. The highest package offered in the previous year is 42 lac which is offered by Microsoft. The placements percentage is around 80 and the average package is 9 lac.
Fees and Financial Aid
You have to pay a semester fee of around 85000 each semester and if you want to stay in a hostel you have to pay a fee of 73000 per year. Many scholarships are available for students like students of lower family income, BPL students, and EWS students also a half fee waiver for all sc st students.
Campus Life
Annual college fest named pecfest celebrate each year it is the biggest college fest in north India. Pec has a very big library where you can find maximum books. The classrooms are very good and well equipped. Very good for extracurricular activities like sports and many cultural and technical clubs are present.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are very good very much space in a hostel if you came from outside Tricity you can easily find a hostel room .there are 4 boys and 2 girls hostels are there all are very good. Mess food is ok. Hostel fee is a little higher than other government engineering colleges but in a city like Chandigarh, it's good.
