Remarks
Since I got through COMEDK UGET, we had a counseling round for all the colleges that comes under COMEDK. We had an option of choosing three colleges of our choice according to our rank and seat left for a particular departments in those colleges. And there were supposed to be 2 counseling rounds. After 2nd counseling I got BIT.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted ECE because I had that interest in digital circuits and everything. Our faculty-to-student ratio was enough so that. There was no mess because of it. As per theoretical subjects, the teaching was good but for practicals, it was not good. There was no encouragement from faculties towards the research area of that department. Our exams were never timely. Since our college loes into VTU university, there was always a delay of a month in exams. The difficulty for passing the examinations was Medium. It was generally repetitive questions from past year papers and among 20 questions, we had to opt out 10 to answer.
Internships Opportunities
There were few companies that offered internships. Generally, it was from the IT sector. But it was a good offer. A lot of students got internships. I don't have any idea about the projects which internships offered. But those internships are good enough for learning of the certain individuals.
Placement Experience
From the 7th sem placement starts. There were almost 70-100 companies that came for placement. Placement is good on our campus. If you are in CSE IS ECE EEE Telecom, the placements are good for these branches but not for civil and mechanical. Highest paid was 25lc and avg is 6-7 lc 80% placement Currently working in an IT company
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition Fees of our college were approx? 198000/year and then on the fourth year it was a little bit less because subjects were fewer. We never got an opportunity for scholarships but during campus placement, I got a placement that provided 6 months internship with a stipend. But our college was not supportive at all. They were rejecting 6 months internships because they only require 1-month internship which was totally absurd because we got the college placement. There was no coordination of placement department and course dept.
Campus Life
Campus life was good. We have pretty good clubs to join and to learn from that. There is only one fest in a year which is at the month of March. Books are also available in the library. Sports is also encouraged but I don't have that many ideas. Clubs like Rotaract, Ted are there which are run by students.
