Overall a good college to take admission.

I got this college through WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination). I got about 33000 rank in West Bengal Joint. In first round of councelling I got JIS kalyani in Electrical Engineering Department. But I was much interested in Computer Science and Engineering Department. So I went for second round of councelling. In the second round of counseling, I got Narula Institute of Technology in Computer Scinece (CSE) department. I was happy. I went for admission on a particular date. I paid Rs.81000 as admission fees which includes fees of first semester, library fees, caution money, college uniform,bag and some other fees. Admission process was smooth. I chose this college because it had good placements records, reasonable fees and was near to my home. To take admission in this college in B.Tech, you have to take JEE or WBJEE exam, Science in 12th class. And in WBJEE you must have less than 35000 as rank. This rank cut-off changes every year.

I chose Computer Science and Engineering as my course. I chose this couse because I like programming and modern technology like machine learning, Artificial Intelligence. This course also has a good future opportunities. There is aslo a huge market demand for CSE engineers. The faculties, facilities and laboratories are really good in Narula Institue in CSE department. Fculty members in Computer Science Department is just awesome. They are very friendly. They are experienced and have good knowledge about the topics. They will always help to clear all your doubts. They even help after college hours if needed. Each classrooms consists of about 60 students. So faculty:student ratio is 1:60 in classroom. But you can always go to faculty room and talk to faculties and have 1:1 interaction. It helps to clear all doubts for the students who are introvert in nature. Every semester we have three exams in total. We have 2 test of 30 marks and 1 final exam of 70. They are moderate in toughness.

Not much internship options are available from our college. Only 2 3 companies are available. But you can surely apply for internships or training projects from off-campus. There are many companies that releases offers for internships. You can get internships from them. They approximately provied Rs. 5000 to Rs. 10000 as stipened per month. Those internships are of 3 to 6 months of duration. You can get projects on Full - Stack web development on technologies like nodeJS, Angular, Spring and many other technologies. Those internships are good to make a unique CV. This ecperiance gathered during internships helps a lot in getting a good job with higher packege during college on campus placements.

Generally, placements in the CSE department start from 7th semester. From 7th semester we all are allowed to fill applications for companies that come for placement. Many companies came to our college this year. Our college showed a strong placement result even in a pandemic situation. Companies like TCS, Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, Persistent, Bijuys and many other companies came to our college. The highest package is offered by Bijuys is 12 LPA. On average other companies provided 4.5 LPA to 7.5 LPA packages. Most of the profiles or roles offered were Software Engineer to the CSE and IT candidates. About 60% of the students got placed in the 7th semester. More than 90% of the students got placed in atleast one company before the end of 8th semester. There are many who got multiple job offers. There are some who got 4 - 5 job offers. I got offers from 2 companies. I accepted the offer of Persistent Systems. I will continue with it.

According to the fees structure of our year, we had to pay Rs. 40,7000 in total. During admission we had to pay Rs. 81,000 (approx.) which includes Rs. 10,000 as caution money. Caution money is refundable after your course completion. From second semester you have to pay between Rs. 45,000 to Rs. 50,000 each semester. A proper fees amount will be provided during asmission. Scholarship and Financial assistance is also available here.Multiple scholarships are available at our college. You can find details about scholarships and their criteria to avail in the college official website. If someone is taking admission in Computer Science, Electrical, Information Technology, Electronics and Tele-communication department then there is a vary high chance to get a job from campus placement. There are many who got more than 2 job offer. I got internship from Persistent Systems with 1.2 LPA package and got a job in Software Engineer role in Persistent System with a 4.51 LPA package.

Narula Institue conducts a good tech fest event. The tech fest event that occurs is named Kritanj. It occurs in the month of February - March every year. Many competitions and programs are arranged in Kritanj. Code-War, Hackathon, Web-Design, Gamming, Project Display, and many other programms are arranged. I participated in it every year. There is a huge library and a good peaceful reading room in the campus. You will get all books there. You will get books from the book bank each semester. Classroom are big and well-lit. Classrooms contains projectors, some classrooms contains Digital Boards and A.C. Free WiFi is also available all over the campus. Many sports, outdoor games, extracurricular activities are there in our college. Many events are organized by college and seniors every year.
