Remarks

VIT, SRM, Amrita College of Engineering, CUSAT, IISER For VIT, you need a minimum to score at least 60 percent in PCM in your 12th Boards. For IISER you need to score 75 percent in PCM in 12th boards.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The reason is that the course was technical and as well as management too. I also wanted to explore both the subjects and hence I chose this. This course is provided by TCS. Some of the faculties have completed their PhD. Some of them teach well and some don't. Term exams are not that tough ie normally upto 60 marks the paper is easy and after that toughness increases. But sometimes the paper is lengthy which results in not attempting the whole paper.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Some of my seniors got internships in cybersecurity, system engineer, web development, affiliate marketing. Some of them were unpaid and some of them were paid. Projects are necessary for you to get internships and placements. My projects include an edge detecting robot, a canteen management website, a DBMS project about payroll. I haven't received any campus internship since it is about to start.

Placement Experience

3.5

The campus internship starts from the 5th sem of the 3rd year and the placement starts from the start of the 4th year and students get placed at end of November, start in December. TCS, Accenture, Capgemini, Siemens are some of the companies that have provided both internships as well as placements. The highest package that I have heard about for mbatech is 14 LPA. For Btech CSBS, we will be the first batch to pass out. I will be pursuing either MBA or Mtech. 15 percent of students received pre-placement offers and the Average CTC was 8 LPA and the highest was 14 LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is too high since they added a development fee this covid time even though we aren't attending the college. The cost of study is slightly high because if we deduct the development fee, it is slightly high. I am currently studying at 3rd year and technical internships are about to start. But what I have heard is the Highest package of mbatech is 14LPA. I haven't received any scholarship till now. The financial assistance some of my mbatech colleagues have got financial assistance.

Campus Life

4

Tech fest is known as Ignite, Sports fest is known as Prabhalya, Cultural fest is known as Tvaaran and anyone sports event takes place every month eg cricket, chess, table tennis. The libraries have almost all the books and if you need any specific book, you need to request the librarian and that particular book will be provided to you within a day or two. Some e books are also provided. In these covid times, we get books via pdf format or e.pub format. The one thing I didn't like is that we do not have a ground for sports like football, volleyball. For that, we conduct these sports in neighbouring colleges ground. There are some websites and committees handled by students namely E-cell aur entrepreneurship cell. The facility of this college is best and so do of its each and every class room. It has A/C, a white board where teachers teach and a projector monitor too.

In Kit college their are some rules for placement drive. In 7th sem companies started to visit our college. During my placement my engineering percentage is around 70 and I am able to attend every drive. Once student get placement offer from one company that student is not allowed to apply next company which package is near to previous company. Placement in Kit college in my year is 70 to 75%. The unplaced students have decided to go for MS.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
