Entrance Preview
I chose MHCET and my score was 330/600. I chose this college as it was one of the best colleges in Mumbai and it had a minority quota for Catholics.
Internships Opportunities
My internship experience was great. Many companies like TCS, Mahindra, Wipro and MAC conducted interviews in our college. The stipend offered by most were Rs. 2500 and the technical tests were pretty easy while the waiting time for the interviews used to get long.
Placement Experience
Companies like TCS and Mahindra selected 30 students out of 100 while companies like MAC selected only 5 students out of 50. They offered a salary of Rs. 15000 on an average.
College Events
College fests like Mosaic were celebrated yearly and the festival was celebrated on a grand level where Celebrities were invited to the college and they used to judge cultural activities like dancing and singing. While there were other activities like robotics, rangoli and painting.
Fees and Financial Aid
I was given a scholarship from the Government which was only for Minority group students and the amount was Rs. 25000 for regular students and Rs. 30000 for students who live in hostels.
Campus Life
There were 60% girls and 40% boys in each class. The extracurricular activities were equal for boys and girls and there was no gender basis sports that were considered. Mostly boys used to take part in the activities and hence in sports the ratio was 80% boys and 20% girls. In debates the percentage was 60% boys and 40% girls and cultural activities had a percentage of 70% girls and 30% boys.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors were polite and cooperative. If we needed any help, they used to help us and they were of a great support.
