Hello, I'm Akanksha Singh pursuing B.Sc. Hons. Mathematics at SVC. The admission criteria was merit based which was an online procedure from the DU portal. You just have to fill in the form and when cut-offs are out, you'll need to select the college you've cleared the cut-off for. In DU, the cut-off is released for best 4 subjects marks of your +2. The cut-offs were quite high and even after 95.75% in my best 4.. I got admission in the 3rd cut off. I belong to general category, but for reserved seats the cut-off might be low.
Course Curriculum Overview
Joining this college was one of my best decisions. The faculty and Mathematics Association of this college is really good and I'm enjoying my college life as a whole. The exams are semester based and teachers are really very cooperative. If you are a mathematics enthusiast, you must consider this college as it provides various scopes for research and at the end you can get a placement too.
Internships Opportunities
The companies like Delloite, KPMG, D. E. Shaw, Flipkart, Byjus, Chegg, VSkills, VQMS etc. provide internship opportunities in our college. The highest placement bragged by a Mathematics student last year was around 20 Lac per annum. There is also a Research Fellowship program SRIVIPRA conducted during the summer internship program which you must consider.
Placement Experience
Sri Venkateswara College has a dedicated Placement Cell. The Internship Fair is organised every year in the month of February in which students can participate even from the 1st year. The students have got placed into Delloite, Byjus, Chegg, VSkills, DE Shaw, Flipkart, KPMG and various other famous companies through the Placement Cell. Also, the internship opportunities are available throughout the year including the summer internship.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is quite good. If you are looking for good return on investment colleges, it should be at your top most priority list. The annual fees is around Rs. 13805 which is quite fair for such a good faculty.
Campus Life
The campus life at SVC is diverse. There are around 20-30 societies ranging from dance drama to social help. I haven't yet visited the library. This college is also famous for its sports culture. The famous Cricket player Rishabh Pant is the alumni of this college. I have been a part of Leonci Art society for almost an year and it is among one of the best societies of DU.
