I took many engineering entrance exams like JEE, BITSAT, COMED-K, SRMJEE, VIT's entrance exam and Manipal's entrance exam. I scored 125 marks in JEE. So, I did not get admission in NIT. My rank in SRMJEE was around 4,800. So, I got selected for the counselling and I selected Computer Science as my branch.

The course in the first year is same for all branches which is the case in almost every college. In second year, there were the core subjects, Mathematics and a foreign language. I chose Japanese as my foreign language. In the third year, there were the core subjects and Mathematics. Apart from the subjects that I mentioned above there was Personality Development course in the first and second year.

Our college provide internships but not under any company. Our college provides internship on their own. For example:If a student is interested in doing an internship in SRM University, then they will have to work under a senior professor and help them in their research.

Our college has good placements record for Computer Science branch. I don't know very well about other branches. Various companies like Accenture, TCS, Wipro ,Infosys, Amazon etc come to our college for placement. A Computer Science student gets a package of around 4-6 lacs. So, overall, the placement record is good.

There are mainly two big fests celebrated in our college namely, Aarush and Milan. Aarush is a national level tech fest held every year in our college. It is held in September every year for 4 days. There are many technical events, workshops, etc. This festival is solely organised by the students of SRM University. Almost every student participates in it in one or the event or workshop.

My fees is 2 lakhs each year. This is the tuition fees. As this is a private college, fee structure is expensive. The fees is even high if you take admission in management quota. The fees in management quota is 3 lakhs each year. The hostel fees vary according to the type of hostel you choose. The hostel fee for normal hostel is approximately 1 lakh. This includes accommodation, mess fee and laundry.

Our college does not offer any type of loan facility. I do not know about any scholarship. However, if a student's parent is in Army or Navy or Air force, he gets 50,000 discount in tuition fee. However, to avail this scholarship, it is compulsory for the student to stay in hostel.

Each semester has two cycle tests,a surprise test, a model exam and a University exam for each theory subject. Each cycle test has a weightage of 10 marks. So, the total weightage of cycle tests is 20 marks. Model exam has weightage of 20 marks. Surprise test has a weightage of 5 marks. There are 5 marks assigned for attendance in that particular subject.

I appeared for SRM University's admission test. I secured around 4,800 rank. So, I was invited for counselling. I went for counselling. During the counselling, I chose Computer Science as my branch. I also paid 1st year's fee during the counselling. So, I got admission in SRM University on the basis of my rank in SRMJEE which is SRM University's admission test.

Faculty members in my university is well qualified. A faculty member is very interested in teaching their particular course. It depends upon the student how much attention they pay when faculty is explaining a particular subject. Honestly, I would not say that all the faculty members are interested in teaching their subject.
