Remarks
The admission process is easy. The candidate who wants to apply can fill the form online from the college website or by taking a hard copy of the form from the college. After the submission, the candidate needs to wait for the results. Once selected, one has to go to the college to submit important documents. The minimum mark required is 70% in 10+2.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose accounting and finance because JDBirla has some best teachers in this subject. the faculty is well educated and experienced. There are enough faculty to teach in different classes simultaneously. We have one end semester exam conducted by the university and before that, we have two class tests conducted by the college. Students are provided with notes and ppt to prepare for the exam.
Internships Opportunities
the college has tied up with Internshala who gives the students of JD Birla an opportunity for the internship when they are in their third year. Students are also given different projects each year. it can be either a group project or an individual one
Placement Experience
Students in the third year are eligible for the placement. every student can apply in the placement cell. Every year top companies like Amazon, Wipro, Godrej, EY, etc come to recruit the students. The avg package is 3 lakh/annum and the highest can go upto 7lakh/annum. around 50% of the students get placed in their desired companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are a little high compared to other colleges in Kolkata. Hike on the other hand is less with each year. Students have to play around 90000 at the time of admission which also includes their admission fee and then they have to pay around 40000 per semester fee.
Campus Life
We have our own fest called verve. it includes all management events and fun events. It is conducted every year in the month of March. We have a huge library with all the subject books available. A student can rent 3 books at a time. Students can also sit in the library and reach their books. the class are huge and every class has an air conditioner. our college also has sports days and is engaged in a lot of sports. We have a social group called NSS which thrives to serve the needy.
