Entrance Preview
I wanted to go for CFD field and this college was the only one offering this course. The faculty here were experienced in this area and they were the reason i opted for this college. They had a particular direction to a course which made me opt for this college. Interview was pretty tough to get in.
Internships Opportunities
Since we were doing a complete research oriented course that's why we all chose to go for Research bodies like IISC, DRDO, Foreign labs, ISRO labs, HAL, NAL and etc. One can do internship in college too but i don't know the details about stipend.
Placement Experience
CFD is a very wide area and booming area nowadays. One can find a lot of jobs if he/she makes the most the education. Any company would hire him/her. College placements are average but reputation is very high when we go for off campus placements maybe because of previous batch students that are placed.
College Events
IEEE conventions, Annual Tech Fest, Annual Cultural Fest called URJA is celebrated. DJ, Music, Sports events and lot of other activities. Satellite launch program, Robotics programs and many more clubs being organised there.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship facilities are present for students, Researchers, Interns and etc. I don't know the exact details about it. Most probably have to consult the management itself.
Exam Structure
Exams were pretty much very good. They conducted open book exams, Closed book, mock tests and etc. It is not like other colleges. You will have to apply the theory into a problem and exams will be focussing entirely on that. Th concepts really gets cleared when this structure is followed.
Admission
They released the notification in papers and online media. I filled the form and then i got call for an interview where it was pretty tough. A lot of candidates appeared for that. Administration was helpful in getting students what they want and making them understand more about the college and course.
