Remarks

I chose this college for various reasons such as good placement opportunities, wider engagement in co-curricular activities like event managing, fest organising etc. Some of the bad aspects include strict attendance criteria and poor infrastructure. Back in May 2016, I gave the IPU Entrance Exam through which I got the admission in MSIT. Admission criteria used to depend on the merit of that common entrance test at that time. The entire process took around 2-3 months for enrollment. The reason of preferring this college over others is encouraging placement opportunities, good staff and exposure of extra curricular activities. The website used during the admission process was www.ipuadmission.com. Not sure if it still exist or has it changed.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose electronics and communication engineering(ECE) considering my prolong interest in eletronics field. And also not having enough ranking to go for CS or IT. Faculty is quite good but dont lay enough focus on practicals. All they care about is theoretical examinations. Most of the faculty has done M.Tech in their specilisation field and teaching method is quite normal as we see in the schools. As far as examinations were concerned, this was the most unpredictable aspect considering schedule in mind. Generally, ipu papers used to get started when all other universities exams get over. It is very late most of the time. And there were mid term exams, internal practicals, external practicals and external theoretical exams in overall. Although, the level of the exams weren't that tough to pass. 40% is the passing marks for any subject which is not a big deal as exams most of the questions are based on the previous year papers.

Placement Experience

4.5

From 6th semester onwards, companies starts visiting for placement opportunities. Most of the companies comes with the initial criteria of 60% throughout your academics to get eligible for the same. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, ZS, Tech Mahindra, Daffodil Software, Wipro were common recruiters. Highest packages werr usually given by ION Trading of around 12lpa followed by ZS Associates of 10lpa . Average package was around 3.5lpa offered by TCS, Infosys and Accenture. Majority of the companies visit for the software engineer, business development associate profiles. Percentage of placements were around 80-90% of them gets placed somewhere excluding the ones who seeks to pursue post graduation, or civil services preparation.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure back in 2016, was around 1.10 lpa and for the next three years, it was around 1.20lpa for general students. SC and ST students used to pay 25k less. Scholarships were usually given to top 3 students of the class taking their merit score into account. Companies do not visit for internships on campus but do visit for full time offers.

Campus Life

3.5

There used to be cultural and technical fest every year. Cultural fest name is Genesis and tech fest is Avensis. It used to conduct in first or second week of january every year. There are various books and journals in the library where you can go through UPSC stuff, GATE, CAT, SSC and a whole lot other books. There used to be sports meet every year in the month of january itself where every branch students compete with each other in order to avail top 3 prices. Apart from it, there were many social groups, events or clubs which were orgainsed by students themselves like Rotaract Club of MSIT for social and noble causes, E-Cell of MSIT for promoting newly and creative ideas towards enterpreneurship, dance society where you could showcase your dance moves.

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.
