At that time I wanted to join a reputed college and I kept many colleges but got this college. After that I search a lot of reviews from net and also asked some people about this college after getting good review I decided to join.

Course Curriculum Overview

Actually I was interested in CSE but I can't make it got EEE. About faculty our professors are good and some of the professors are not PhD graduated professors. There are 2 semesters per year. Every semester will have one mid semester, one End Semester and two quizzes and some lab exams. Passing depends upon how student study if they study well they will pass if not they will fail.

We have total of 5 branches in B.Tech in that 3 are related to software and 2 are core branches. Alot of companies will visit to campus in that many companies will not be interested in core branches. Only few companies will allow core branches. If any core branch students not got placed in campus placements they will write GATE exam or try for some other jobs depends upon student interest. For remaining 3 branches if they didn't get placed in campus placements they may write some exams outside or GATE is another option. From 6 th Semester onwards they are eligible for campus placements. For our batch there are nearly 30 companies visited in that only 8-9 companies allow core branches but most of the companies will take very few people. I can't get details about all the companies visited but highest package is 30 lakhs and lowest package is 3 lakhs per annum. I am doing a job right now.

Campus Life

Campus Life is so good, This is my favourite. You will be in a good environment and there are extra curricular activities and sports and there are many clubs. Our annual fest name is Advaita, It is conducted in the month of February. We have very big library and our class rooms are very good there are many resources present inside campus area. There will be many competitions happen frequently like sports events, quiz competitions, coding competitions ,etc depends on the clubs. Every club is run by students.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.

A Decent Experience

I chose IIIT Bhubaneswar over the other college I applied to, which was KIIT, mainly because IIIT Bhubaneswar felt like a better fit for my long-term goals in terms of coding culture, academic seriousness, and overall brand value as a government-backed technical institute. Even though I got admission in KIIT, I preferred IIIT because the peer group here is more focused on programming, internships, and placements, and the environment pushes me to stay consistent and improve my skills. Also, when I compared both colleges, KIIT has a bigger and more happening campus life, but IIIT Bhubaneswar feels more career-driven and closer to the kind of tech exposure I wanted. I got admission into IIIT Bhubaneswar through the Odisha category, where the selection is done based on eligibility and merit as per the counselling process, and the overall admission experience was smooth for me.
