No entrance examination for getting into this college. Just my board exams. 89% in class 12. I wanted to take up mathematics hons in any college under Delhi University. After the cut off list was out, I found the very few colleges I could apply in. A cousin of mine suggested that Desh bandhu is one of the best in the South campus so go for it.

The course structure is pretty balanced. It won't take the blood out of you neither will it let you enjoy in the breeze. The course structure is set up by the university and it encourages a lot of research, specifically in pure mathematics. Our college also offers masters in mathematics due to which it turns out to be very fascinating for students like us to continue with the same field.

No our college doesn't provide internships not any I am aware of at this present moment. There might be internships offered by professors individually. I am not properly informed about this.

Deshbandhu College welcomes a lot of companies, both national and multinational from the past few years. Companies like CodingZen, Concrntrix, TringgApp, IBM visit the college and recruit a handy percentage of students. Packages aren't as attractive as engineering colleges yet they are good enough for graduates who are seeking some job experience with a nice pocket money.

First of all the college has many active societies. Each society organises frequent events that keep the students active in co-curricular activities. Then the various departments have their own fests which are very entertaining. Then comes the college fest. One of the highest crowds of colleges under Delhi University is seen in this college.

The fee structure is pretty affordable. Around 9000 a year and an extra grand or two as the examination fees doesn't seem expensive. The facilities provided are pretty good so the fee structure suffices for it. There are a couple of courses that are comparatively expensive like that of computer science.

Yes I did read of scholarship facilities provided by the college for those students who couldn't afford the fees. It is a good way to help the poor who are deprived of education just because they can't afford it.

Well, I haven't met a lot of alumni members but the few I did meet were pretty helpful and they were of great significance in showing how good the college is. They also helped us with books and notes and all they could provide.

The exams are properly scheduled. Few days turn out to be hectic but the remaining are quite comfortable to attend. The labs and the classes are scheduled in a way that we finish our classes by 2:30 most days. Just during internal assessments and file submissions does it get a little late.

The faculty of the department of mathematics is very highly qualified and experienced. Other departments like English, physics and economics have some very renowned and outstanding professors. Dedicated as they are, they are equally helpful and very punctual I must say.
