Established in 1951, SGTB Khalsa College is one of the most renowned and prestigious institutions of Delhi University. The college has a good NIRF ranking and is recognized as a great place for students belonging to every stream, Moreover, SGTB Khalsa offers 30 different courses of distinct streams. The college further has academic departments, including the Department of Science, Department of Mathematics, Commerce Department, and more. For getting admission into BCom(Hons), minimum 40% aggregate marks in 12th class and must have passed Business Mathematics/ Mathematics/ equivalent paper. Cutoff for BCom Hons usually begins with 98% that reduces to almost 96% in the coming cutoff lists.

The curriculum of BCom(Hons) aims at the complete development of a student by giving both theoretical and practical knowledge of different concepts of the commerce field. The faculty of the college is very nice and supportive. Teachers have a good teaching experience and focus on studying each and every topic easily. Teachers pay the required amount of attention to students and the teaching curriculum. Due to this, students enjoy the curriculum and score good marks in the final semester exams. The student-to-faculty ratio is 15:1. Basically, tests and assignments are conducted for evaluating the marks for internal assessments.

The placement cell apart from placement also focuses on providing good internship opportunities to students. Different new internships often come weekly and allow the candidates to pick one of their interests. Internship roles offered include digital marketing intern, business research intern, finance intern, social media marketing, and content writing intern. The stipend amount begins from INR 5000 and can go beyond INR 15000 for specific job roles.

Ignite is the placement cell of SGTB Khalsa College that is responding for the smooth functioning of all the placement activities. Final year students become eligible for applying to companies. Multiple companies, including Deloitte USI, Bain & Co, EY GDS, KPMG, PwC, Byju's, and others come to campus to hire students for different job profiles. The average package is INR 5 LPA and the highest is INR 14 LPA. Almost 10-15% of applicants are hired by companies.

The fees of the college are somewhat among the highest in DU. For the three-years undergraduate Bcom(Hons) program, it is INR 87000, including tuition fees, library fees, and other costs as well. The fees usually don't hike every year and remain constant. Hostel fees at SGTB Khalsa are INR 15000 per month excluding the electricity charges. However, the hostel fees are reasonable and good services are available to students.

SGTB Khalsa organizes its annual fest in the month of February every year. Lashkara is the name given to the annual fest. The classrooms of the college are all air-conditioned and have windows for good ventilation. When it comes to sports and extracurricular activities, SGTB Khalsa has a big name and offers quality opportunities to students. Separate places for different sports with proper equipment make it the best college for students who wish to make their career in any specific sports field. The library of the college is also great and allows students to issue books as per their needs and interests.
