Wonderful Experience

The university life at Tezpur is fantastic. The natural world and its splendour are breathtaking. If you go there, you will have a good time. For me a good college should have good environment too, and this college had that. So, without wasting much of my time I took admission. The institute's infrastructure and management are good, if not excellent. Apart from that, you must maintain a 90 percent attendance rate in class, which is a significant challenge for the lazy student.

I am a computer science and engineering batch student. After IIT Guwahati, this department is one of the greatest computer science departments in the North East. This department is a BRICS NU member, an MHRD centre of excellence, and a participant in the Ministry of Information Technology's ISEA initiative. It features a high-performance computing centre, well-equipped labs, and a robotics lab, among other things. The academic programme is current and assists students in becoming job-ready.

Because of many considerations such as its rural location, connection issues between Guwahati and Tezpur, and most crucially, a weak placement cell, the placement scenario is average. However, they give it their all, and there is room for expansion in the future if they improve their placement cell. In the 2020 batch, 40-45 percent of students were placed, with the top payout being ten lakhs per annum and the average package being three lakhs per annum.

In engineering, we were paid approximately 50,000 per year, however this varies depending on the course (MBA, BA/BSc, MSc). If we ignore placement, I believe we earned our money's value because of the good academic culture, high student competition, and 24-hour library. These things help you develop as a person and prepare you for future entrance tests.

It is one of North East India's most gorgeous campuses. There's a pool, a gym, an indoor stadium, and an outdoor stadium (includes night facility). Students are welcome to participate in any activity on campus. Every year, the institution hosts events like as Annual Fest, Spring Fest, Insignis (Science Festival), TechXetra, and others. All of the children are really engaged, and the teachers and others are quite helpful. It is in Napaam, and the campus is very safe, with an Assam homeguard unit providing protection.
