Remarks
I had applied to colleges of the University of Mumbai in the Mumbai region and Pillai hoc Rasayani. Due to traveling comfort, staff, facilities, other activities I chose phcet rasayani. The selection process was through the CAP round for the direct 2nd year.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose mechanical engineering because it is my field of interest and also I had completed my diploma in mechanical eng. Faculty Student ratio is about 1:30. All the staff is BE and also completed masters and most of the teachers completed their Ph.D. also. Term exams were up-to-date and because I am good at engineering exams were easy for me.
Internships Opportunities
From semester 1 PBL is arranged for students it is project based learning consisting of small problems to solve. Pbl is from Semester 1 to semester 6 regardless of branch. Each branch is given different problems related to their field.
Placement Experience
From semester 7 students because eligible for campus placement. Various IT coms mechanical civil companies visited. The percentage of students getting placement is around 5-10%. I want to pursue my master's in advanced mechanical engineering from the United Kingdom.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly total fees were around 1 lakh but because of ebc scholarship, it was 50,000 rupees for me. Bus fees for me were around 16000-17000 per year as I lived in pen. I didn't get placement from the college and because I also want to pursue my future studies.
Campus Life
The college celebrates the annual fest and tech fest in the months of January and February. Annual fest called Euphoria and tech fest called Tech Euphoria. All Books and journals are available in the library. The college has its own sports teams.
