Review of my college(Asansol Engineering College)

I was interested in Asansol Engineering College from the very beginning and therefore I took admission in the Year 2018. I got admission via my wbjee rank and I did not apply for any quota. The admission criteria is that the candidate must pass 12th from a recognized board with English, physics chemistry and maths as mandatory subjects. The minimum qualifying mark for 12th is 45%. The candidate should also have a decent rank in the entrance exam. Candidates should age between 17 and 23 years of age.On the day of councelling, students were called based on their entrance exam rank and there were supposed to give their branch and college according to their priorities. Students with higher rank are always given the first seat of their choices.

Electronics and Communication Engineering is a branch which deals with electronic devices, analog circuits, digital circuits, communication systems, etc. The communication system is my favorite. Our course curriculum also includes ds and algo, c, computer architecture, os, oops, computer networks, Therefore, ECE candidates are a good fit for both IT and Non-IT sectors. This was the main reason I choose ECE as my branch. Asansol Engineering College is famous for helpful faculties. They give equal importance to each and every one. The teachers are highly qualified and they make sure students are getting the best education. The teachers of the training and placement department are very serious and ensure that students receive the best opportunities.If someone follows the class regularly, its easy to score well in semesters.

Virtusa and few companies gave internship opportunities. Some were paid and some unpaid. Generally, software development roles were given. Proper training was also given so that students perform well in internships. Their performance in internships decides their package. Some internships also get converted to full-time opportunities.

Excellect placement opportunities. Lots of reputed companies visit our college. Specially, cse,it,ece candidates gets more opportunities. Virtusa, Accolite, Infosys, Tcs, cts, persistent systems, Thought works, Ernst and Young, wipro, etc. visited our campus. More than 80% students usually gets placed.

The fess structure is 420000 approx for a 4-year b.tech course. There are opportunities of scholarships, financial assisstance but this needs to be discussed with the responsible authority as it differes from person to person. There are lots of job opportunities on campus especially for cse,it and ece candidates. I got placed on campus in Ernst and Young with a decent package.

We had fest in 2019 for the last time. There are books in the library but the management is not upto the mark. Once I waited for long in a line but did not get books. The person responsible for giving books are not responsible enough. I am not interested in sports and therefore I dont have much idea but there are competitions. People interested may know better. There lots of clubs like sic, csi, hardware club,edc,etc.
