Entrance Preview

IIT JEE, Had the options of BITSAT but choose IIT because of tag value of IIT and also bits is a private institute.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum at IIT KGPis well designed and efficient . It present student with enough practical and theoretical knowledge. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate it 8 . The only problem with the curriculum is that it offers courses only to the respective fields.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college provide internship in the third yr for four yr students and in 4th year for 5 year course students. The overall selection procedure is well organised. A large number of companies are being contacted by the committee on behalf of institute to provide internship to the students.

Placement Experience

4

Almost 1000 students get placed and apart from them some opt for higher studies. Considering the ratio and comparing it from other institutes I would say it is very good.Talking about the placement packages an average package delivered is around 8 to 10 lac per annum.

College Events

4.5

The college host a variety of feats and events throughout the year including events for sports , technology and cultural. Spring fest and kshitij are the two major fest in the institute. There is also an events for the alumni for the institute known as annual alumni meet in January.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure for the current students is quite feasible but for the recent 1st yr the fees is doubled which is outrageous , providing them with the same facilities as us.Around 1.5 lac per yr is feasible considering the facilities and management of the institute.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provides special loan structure of the students and various scholarship programmes. Some of them which I know are Inspire, MCM and other SC/ST scholarships.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is quite good and there is greenery all around. The gender ratio is very low, almost 50 boys to 1 girl (1/50). Students are from almost every state. Listening to different languages apart from yours is quite common and frequent. Student societies for each and every thing are available in the institute to follow your interest .

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network of the institute is quite strong.A student body known as alumni cell is primarily focussed on increasing the alumni interaction with the institute.Seniors also pass on the funda which is very necessary for a student to live a chilled life in IIITKGP.

Exam Structure

Our exam structure for each subject is not good at all. On a standard 50 marks for end semeter 30 for mid semester 20 is with the prof. Also there can be two two exams in a day and two exams the next day without any gap.

Admission

It's quite straightforward, actually. The IITs come out with a merit list based on your JEE Advanced scores. After this, it's a fairly simple five-step process, which is terribly hard to screw up. Registration on JEE Advanced Website, Payment of counselling fees, Submission of photocopies of documents to the zonal IITs, Choice filling, Counselling and Allotment.

Faculty

3.5

Most of the faculty of my college is well experienced and has been there for along time.Following old procedures and notes even now.But the faculty is quite promising and friendly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Though the bachelor of science is pursued by someone who wants to research and develop some idea to help the modern world. The primary decision was to contribute to the society like the great scientists who have done so before. The curriculum provides a balanced approach of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, theoretical knowledge from classes, assignments, homeworks and exams. Practical knowledge through the different workshops that are held in the college auditorium or online with successful men of the field who are brought as guests in them, from renowned scientists to great thinkers we have met a lot of them.
