Remarks

I get admission through wbjee counselling which was good and filled choices according to my preference and got Jadavpur University civil department in the last round. My Quota is General-Al which is no reservations and has very few seats available in each branch. Admissions criteria: U have to give wbjee exam which is offline and has 2 papers for 2 hrs each. Paper 1 [maths] || Paper 2[ Chemistry+physics]. U have to get a minimum of 60 % marks in math and science to appear in the WBJEE exam. For My department, it differs from year to year. What is cutoff like IEE this year for Gen Al closes at 500 and for reserved category 5k. Admissions were good but it was so late in my year due to corona.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

1) I have interested in the electronics field so I have chosen this. 2) Ratio (boys: girls) is 1:8 total strength 55 3) Teachers are highly qualified and experienced except some teachers like some were very good but also some teachers can't teach on online mode very well. 4) Exam gone so good coz we got enough time to give so No difficulty was faced.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

1) Internship is started from 3rd year and many companies come and give a good stipend. 2) Since I have not much knowledge on it coz I have just entred in 2md year and this online education doesn't give much interaction with senior and teacher to learn more about everything.

Placement Experience

5

1)For internship 3 rd year and for placement 4th year. 2) Google, Amazon, Microsoft, At Lassian, Texas instruments, Uber, Samsung, PWC and lots of other companies visit ONE IMPORTANT point is that The PSUs like IOCL, NTPC, ONGC also come in college and direct select the students without giving GATE exam that is not in other colleges, only a few IITs, JU and some other colleges. 3)This year Highest CTC offered by Amazon is 55 LPA and the average CTC is 10.2 LPA 4)70-80% get placed 5) Not a fix plan right now.

Fees and Financial Aid

1)The fess is very low approx 12k in 4 years.(Mobile bhi issue mahga hi ata hai)so anyone can afford it but not in other colleges like min u have to pay 5L+ income for 4 years anywhere in India. 2) There are some scholarship schemes also but have very low income students. 3) internship started from 3 years and have good opportunities.

Campus Life

4

1) Srijan, Sanskriti is our annual and tech fest which is conducted every year. 2)There is a big library on the main campus where lots of bool available there is also a facility of an e-library in this corona period. 3) Classroom is big enough to accommodate 70-80 students of a batch and the infrastructure inside the room is good. 4) Regular sports events happen, outdoor and indoor games court is available (but TT has very little). 5)There are many clubs like science, dance music like others have BUT we have Mountaining club also which is rare in other colleges.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
