Remarks

I have joined the university through Wbjee decentralized counseling and the procedure was very easy than other colleges, then after getting a chance when I went for physical verification, that moment was just wondering. All seniors and professors were very helpful.I got the chance by SC quota but my marks were really high and if anyone wants to get chance in this university he/she must get a high score and if you get chance then don't worry,, your life is settled

Course Curriculum Overview

I like mechanical engineering very much since my childhood and I choose this university for higher chances of placement. The faculty is very good and helpful. Professors are very helpful and high-quality skilled level,, Educational level is awesome. The exam is very tough but if you read you can get a high score easily

Internships Opportunities

There are many companies that give opportunities for internships and gives a huge stipend gives students to become mature for company jobs and also gives the task to invent something new for students. Students can make any gadgets by interests here the faculty and all students help is very much.

Placement Experience

After 3 rd year all students are eligible for placements, many huge companies IBM,TCS,Tata,IOCLetc comes and gives highly packages every year. Almost 10-15 lakh is the minimum annual job package and almost 50-60 lakhs are the highest packages. Almost 90% students get placements. My plan is to sit for all india exams likeIAs,ips upsc after completing bachelor degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are very low 10k in full 4 yrs complete,,there are many scholarship in university that is easy to avail and there are many internships so you can earn money after completing degrees, high chance of Getting Job.

Campus Life

Just awesome campus life. There are many fests held by faculty students. The huge library you can avail any book at any time sports and many entertainment programmes all-time year holds. There are many groups like science,, sports,, robotics,, etc organized by students forum

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Review of Jadavpur University

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More
