Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because the college gives a big opportunity to be placed in with a good LAP package .Lowest package 5 LAP , HIGHEST 16 LAP & AVG. 8 LAP. for mechanical engineering. The student ratio of boys & girls are 50 :1 . The professors are highly qualified & experienced. & The most important thing they are friendly. There has no difficulty to pass the exam .

Flipkart,pws,tata, itc ,tcs and etc comes to give you internship. This is about marketing, supply chain, production management. To know details go to the Jadavpur University official website. You should maintain a good cgp like more than 8 to apply for placement & intership.

Placement Experience

Jadavpur University is always famous for its placement . From 4 th year student become eligible to get placement. Tata, ITC, airbus, Bajaj moto, cognigen ,BMW , GAIL, PSUs and etc are coming & you get more than 1 offer regarding your performance. In mechanical 80% students are placed more or less. My plan to do job in PSUs

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is total 10k for 4 years. There has lot of opportunities to get scholarship. You get a good lpa by investing 10k for 4 years. If you have financial problems,then you can get additional help from the facility members.

Campus Life

The campus life is just awesome. If you come to JU you just get attraction to stay here. 2 fest are there . Enjoy & chill is available for 24 ÃƒÂ—7 1 hugy central library & for every department there has 1 Departmental library. Cheese club, music club, drama club, dance club, moto sports club , E cell are here

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is good. Just 50 rupees per month you have to pay to stay & get food. Meal quality is average. Veg & non veg both are available . You have to fill up one form on admission day to get hostel. Hostel is just 2 min walking distance from JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More
