Remarks

I applied for Jadavpur University thorough wbjee rank but didn’t get any suitable branch for me. I also applied for Jalpaiguri Govt Engg College and got EE branch. But as I have been admitted in the CSE branch of AOT and paid admission fees, I further never went to any colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as of placement stats of the CSE dept right now. Our College has faculty: student ratio will be approximately 1:20. Faculty members are qualified from various respectable institutes of India like IIIT, IISC, MNIT, JU etc. Some dedicated and friendly teachers we can find in depts. If I say about exams it is not about only term exams which happen twice per sem, with this daily quizzes and assignments are done by students. Students need to qualify in their lab exams, term exams to pass semester exams.

Class Size: 180Course Fees: INR 381000 per year

Placement Experience

7th sem students are eligible for campus placements. Various Tech companies like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro visit our college. The highest package was 7lpa+ from CSE. The average package was 4.5 LPA. As of 2021, approximately 90% of students are placed. I plan to enter the SDE field or tries for the Gate exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure for CSE Dept is 381000. If students are admitted through the TFW category they have to pay 40% fess. Rather than students get WBFS scheme from 2nd yr and onwards. Many students get govt scholarships.

Campus Life

The annual fest is Arcadia and Tech fest is Techquisitive. Well maintained classrooms. Various sports facilities like basketball, football. IEI Students chapter conducts all events like Innovus and many more, publishes Ingenium in every sem.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Honest opinion about my college(AOT)

1)I applied to TMSL and heritage insitute of technology but i choose AOT over them because in tmsl there are no hostels and in heritage i got ece. 2)Admission to our college is through wbjee, jee mains,JELET (for lateral). no need to worry about admission process you just need all require documents and proofs to get admission. 3)From heritage i got rejection because i don't get cse there.(my rank was 10k). 4)mostly students came here through wbjee in 2025 cutoff of cse this year was approx 30 to 35k....Read More

Academy of technology Reality check

I got this this from WBJEE , i wrote this exam and I score rank under 12 k in which our college has cutoff of 20k. I applied for the councelling of WBJEE and got selected in first round .
