Only JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY, Yes, I am an st candidate and get in Jadavpur university via st quota. No minimum age anyone can apply who has successfully qualify in jee or wbjee. I got 45 marks on my wbjee. In this pandemic, everything was done in online mode and the process was easy.
Course Curriculum Overview
Because of its diversity, I can apply for multiple job opportunities like the competitive govt ones like upsc and ies (specific for core dept) In our year student count is 140 and 14:1 is the boy girl ratio. And 32 faculty members are there in the civil engineering dept. Yes, exams are not held in online mode and exams are not that hard I guess.
Internships Opportunities
I just passed my 1st year still learning to hope for some internships near future. Apart from my degree course, I learned some coding skills. I created some games like sudoku and dice rolling game developed the jhargramchoice a food delivery site.
Placement Experience
During their 4th year, students are eligible for on campus placement and from the second year, you can apply for internships. TCS, WIPRO AND MANY OTHER TECH GIANTS, Johnson and Johnson is a great place for civil engineers. In civil engineering, you can expect an average of 3-4 lpa and the highest could be around 10 lakhs but overall is around 14 lakhs. Preparing for IES exam after clearing Gate.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are compared to zero for me semester fees for this course is 73 rupees, that's really affordable for me. Lots of government and private scholarships are there like an oasis, Vivekananda scholarship and Jindal, Colgate etc.
Campus Life
Because of the pandemic, the cultural fest and freshers party are not happening but other activities are still going on and there are lots of clubs like robotics chasse martial arts and lots of others. There is a library and just outside of the campus there is a second hand book shop where almost every book is there.
