Entrance Preview
I gave my Joint Entrance exam to get into this college. If one scores among 11000 there is a chance to get into this college.This college came in my list of JEE preferences and as it was nearer than all other colleges in the list i chose it. I was a IT student in college and as I spend my days i realised it was not just location but the ambience and fatherly and motherly teachers that makes this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is in accordance to WBUT/Makaut standards and is in link with latest technological advancements. Apart from the technological aspects there was value education,business studies(e commerce),english development and overall personality development classes which proved to provide overall development for upcoming campusing processes and helped me bag a job in TCS.
Internships Opportunities
I was provided internship by my college in TCS but i could not do it. It was a free internship but looking at the experience and richness of knowledge one can say it would be fruitful. Besides one can go to teachers who can provide internships if need be.
Placement Experience
There is a special Training and Placement cell. Many companies like mphasis, tcs etc came during our time.I was appointed by TCS and offered a package of around 3.4 lacs per annum. Campussing opportunities are a plenty and if one puts enough effort there are fair chances one will grab it .In our year almost 155 students cracked TCS while others cracked capgemini, cts, mphasis etc well renowed companies.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is around 38000-40000 per semester. But bright students can avail fee waiver by talking to the college authorities. Yes it is expensive but then the infrastructure is ample and since it is not government aided hence such a fee structure is normal.
Fees and Financial Aid
I availed the loan from the bank my father works in Vijaya Bank. One can avail loans from other banks as well .For bright students there is a fee waiver.
Exam Structure
Exams and lab exams are in accordance to WBUT/Makaut rules but there are 4 sets of exams every year each for lab and theory to prepare us for the final exams and there are frequent class tests as well. These class tests help to evaluate our current under standing of the curriculum.
Faculty
The faculty as i said is very fatherly and motherly. The college is a home away from home where they scold like parents and clear all the doubts until one fully understands the core concepts. Besides there r extra classes and also before campussing they arranged for special teaching classes which helped us crack the interviews. Overall they are very friendly,compassionate yet strict enough.
