Political science in Patliputra University

I applied to magadh University for BA in pol science but my name didn't appear on the merit list. I belong to the EBC section, so I used this certificate to get admission to this college. Admission criteria were easy, I just filled the admission form at ppu.in for 500 Rs. registration charge and waited for my name to appear in the merit list issued by the college, my name appeared in the 2nd merit list. Minimum marks were 64% for BA (pol science ) and there was an age limit of 26. the admission process started after the declaration of merit list, after getting my name on the merit list, I have to submit my 12 details, transfer certificate to the campus, soon after successful payment of fees 5000, I got admitted there.

I want to do UPSC, so I am doing my graduation in political science and I am interested in the subject. The faculty of political science on the campus are so experienced and so qualified, the teachers are very supportive. the student teacher ratio is around 30:1. The teaching method is in regional languages and fully focused on NCERT books. Students are free to ask any doubts to the teachers, they are friendly. we have our final exams at the end of each semester, which is quite tough but one can pass if they studied regularly . mid semester tests are conducted regularly.

The fees of the college are very reasonable that is only 5000 per year, as compared to the college campus, infrastructure and teaching faculty, 5000 is very low but it's good for students. Here scholarships are provided as per the Bihar government scheme of prime minister post matric, which offers a total of 25000 for the whole three years. Campus placement is not so good here, after getting a degree one to have to prepare for government jobs like SSC, Railways, BPSC and UPSC by themselves. Overall the campus is good and the teachers are friendly.

General annual function is celebrated at the end of each semester every year, it's very fun filled moments. Its conducted in December every year. Different categories of books are available in the campus Library, it has a big library near the north campus. Every student get their paas to sit in the library, there is no time limit, one can issue books from the library to home. classroom condition is good with fan, bulbs, and tiled floors, well equipped with bench and desks, there is a cold water drinking machine in the ground. In the name of extracurricular activities sports like kho kho, kabaddi and crickets are offered to the students. There is a Patliputra group in the pol science section in which students are preparing for civil services.
