Insights about MIT-WPU

I applied to 2 colleges for BCA. The first was MIT-WPU, Pune and the other was Symbiosis, Pune. I got selected in both of them but opted was MIT-WPU because MIT-WPU has better faculty and study pattern was technical courses whereas Symbiosis is better was management courses. The selection process was both of them included one written proctored test and one PI (Personal Interview) round. I did not avail any quota at either of the institutes. The minimum class 12th marks required for the admission process was 70 % in science stream. Once, i was selected and sure to take the admission in MIT-WPU , i was once called on campus for my document verification process. Since, while i took the admission the world was suffering with COVID-19 pandemic, my classes started online only. Still, we are planning to start the offline campus soon. During my PI rounds, i was asked questions related to Information Technology, languages and skills i have learnt so far in my school.

I chose BCA because i was a biology stream student and could not go for Btech but i wanted to get career in computer science so BCA sounded like just the perfect option for me. The course curriculum and the faculty at MIT-WPU is very good. They have 3 semesters in a year which is actually very benefitial. It allows you to learn more languages and technologies in that duration itself that too under guided path. But at the same time, it becomes too much of pressure if you are very new to everything. Still they try to keep it simple for everyone. They have kept themselves quited updtaed with the technologies including subjects like cloud computing in their curriculum.

The fees for BCA in MIT - WPU is a bit high but the quality of education is also nice. The scholarship schemes are there for the scholar students. I myself received a scholarship on the basis of my class 12th examinations. The staff is supportive but sometimes you might have to struggle to get some issues sorted.

The life at the campus is very awesome. MIT-WPU has 100acres of campus. the hostel gives you an amazing view of the hilltop. The campus no doubt is very beautiful. you will enjoy your days there. MIT-WPU has a modern digital library with almost of the editions of almost all books. The library is really huge. MIT-WPU holds many events and fest mostly after Diwali i.e. in november and december. They even have clubs like the anchoring club, sports club, debate club, and many more. They give you a very great opportunity to do your research and support you to be an entrepreneur right from your college. I myself have published 3 research papers in the international journal of Scientific Research in Computer Science, engineering and information technology.

The Hostel Facility is very comfortable with included mess. The room has a study table and chair, a bed, a cupboard for your personal things and some other furniture. the room is less lighted and ventilated with a beautiful scenic beauty from the balcony. The food provided is fine. The registration process for the hostel is very easy. You can visit the office, pay your advance and book the hostel. Simple as that!! since, MIT-WPU is in the heart of Pune, i.e. Kothrud. There are many PGs and rental rooms easily available near the college. Apart from all this, there are even many Restaurants and cafes for meals.
