Entrance Preview

DEI have their own admission entrance exam and examination will contains all subjects of 10th, 12th, General knowledge,aptitude etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

There is a semester system and they covers all important subject of engineering in first year and from second year onwards they goes specific. Which is really great thing for me as it helps in campus placement as you have some basic knowledge about other streams of engineering.

Internships Opportunities

Yes college arranges internship and various companies comes in campus to offer the same. Companies like Anand Engineering, Mahale filters, Tata motors and few others. About exact stipend i cant say as i got selected in a job thru campus placement immediate after course completion.

Placement Experience

After course completion 80-90% students will get job through campus placement and for remaining they register them in DEI-APAC team and this team arrange jobs for remaining students. There is big list of companies but main companies in the institutions are Tata Motors, Maruti, L&T, TATA HITACHI, Siemens, BHEL, Schlumberger, HERO, HONDA, Mahindra.

College Events

College celebrates engineering day,education day, open day, annual day, get together day and fresher's introduction day. Except this their will be technical conferences, seminars on frequent intervals, senior students also visits faculty sometimes and they shares their experiences and gives tips to the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very nominal as they charges nearby 5000/- for a semester(6 months) in diploma and nearby 8000 for degree in engineering so for me even schooling was expensive than this. For poor students there is fee waiver system also. This institute is well known for ethics and great vision.

Fees and Financial Aid

I do not have idea about loan facility or scholarship as fee is very nominal so i did not availed any loan for the same.

Hostel Facilities

DEI have a good hostel facility and team of warden is taking care of each and every students in the hostel. there is three main hostels in campus, one is for girls and other two for boys. There is good mess facility in hostel where breakfast,lunch, snacks and dinner serves with quality and also at very minimum rates.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni Network is good and seniors students helps to the juniors for new jobs, job change and any other help. Lots of senior students meets in campus on education day and share their experience with juniors and gives tips to them.

Exam Structure

One of the best examination system. In one year there will two semesters , each semester have 4 quiz test, 1 mid sem exam and one final(external) exam for each subject. I would say its not chill out but it force you to complete your study with time-table.

Placement Experience:

In the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited on the campus are Maruti, Tata, Mahindra, TVs, Toyota & 2 offers made. The highest and average package as per company is 35,000 to 45,000 per month. 60% of students getting placements. I Plans after getting the degree is job.

Our study is important but the most important thing is the placement, which makes your career better. Our college has campus placement and many companies visit and hire our students. In many branches, not all the students get the placement but the students who are toppers and who are good in their study get the placement. I also dream to get a placement so that I can get a job quickly after my diploma. For that, I am really working hard and improving my skills, knowledge, and my scores. Tata Motors, Layam Group, Myntra, Bajaj, and other companies come to our college for the placement. In the final year of our course, this opportunity comes to us and we are very much awaited for that.

Best engineering college for BTech and polytechnic. Architecture department are also in our college. Labs, laboratories, libraries. Buses with camera. Girl hostels.

Placement Experience:

In the last semester, our senior get a job in many respected companies. About 70 to 80% of students placed in every year. About 40 students placed in Mechanical in core companies in this. Covid time by virtual placement drive. And minimum package for diploma student is 2.5 LPA to 5lpa.

Placement Experience:

Many companies visited our campus. Every year more than 90 percent of students placed in companies like Shalimar,eldeco, BCC, etc. The percentage should not below 60 percent for participate in interviews. Minimum salary package for freshers of diploma engineering hired 3.5 lakhs per annum. I am planning to go for the government junior engineers exam after completing my diploma

BEST GOVT. POLYTECHNIC IN UP

Remarks:

Positives Beautiful Campus : This might seem irrelevant to some, but the natural beauty is what comes to your rescue when you feel you have hit rock-bottom. Single Rooms : People have different opinions about this, but I have come to respect this particular facility at our campus. Location of campus (away from city) : This is a very subjective issue, but I think that the location of campus (distance from city) leaves us lesser distractions. Negatives :- Weak Alumni Base : Although it is definitely possible to achieve any goal in life without assistance from alumni, but their experience can definitely make the journey simpler for many. However, lately, many alumni of IIT Guwahati are connecting back with the student community and I am grateful to them for taking out their time for interacting with us. Single Rooms : Yes, I covered this in positives as well, but I think I must point out the cons of this facility. Students, especially in the first year, might feel lonely and find it hard to interact with others. A shared room provides you with one or more readily accessible friends whose privacy you can breach without asking, from day one. Mess : However the Mess System is undergoing a lot of changes, this is one aspect that has a lot of scope for improvement.

The college is in my hometown so close to family and friends. No moving out having the comfort of living with family. Apart from this good syllabus structure. I was getting to learn so much more here than in other colleges. The reason i came back from college in Shimla, it was purely due to homesickness.
