I live in Asansol so my first choice was Asansol engineering college furthermore it is a very good college. Though it is a private college so here no quota applies here. Only the tfw quota is applicable here. Here in this college, only the CSE dept is competitive all other branches are filled upon a first come first serve basis. You should be getting at least 30 marks for getting into this college. Now there are two new branches that have opened both of them are part of CSE dept. Namely AIML ans CSBS. Both of them are introduced a year ago. These branches are also competitive if you have a lower rank then you can also get into these branches. These braches will also give some kind of placement as CSE as the same companies will come for them also. The counseling process is fairly simple just register in the official wbjee counseling and fill your options if you are eligible enough you will be selected. Usually, there are three rounds in counseling. The teachers are very friendly.

I am in the computer science and engineering department i chose this course because i loved computers. i love that how a human being can communicate with a computer efficiently. There are plenty of teachers and all of them are very good and friendly many teachers have PHDs and all the teachers have masters degrees in thier respective field. All the teachers are adaptive in their teaching methods like in the time of corona they have all moved to online and they teach in every manner. This university comes under MAKAUT so every exam is held very strictly at the predetermined time although craking exams is not hard because the same question is asked to every other college (expect anonymous collages) so they don't make the questions hard also there is a book that is relesed before every exam named organizer if you read this book only you will be good to go for the semester examinations. This book contains previous year question papers of all the subject.

In the 6th semester, students become eligible for the placements. There are almost 70-80 companies which come to our collage some of the main companies are TCS, cognizant, Wipro and many more. This year the highest pakage offered in campus placements was 10lpa by byjus. The average package is about 4 LPA. 85% of the students get placed in the campus placements according to the data which we are provided with. Over all the placement is good and the college does its work in a very good manner. I am not going for placements because i want to study more and go for higher studies and do a master's in computer science.

The fee is 420000 for the entire 4 years for every branch. At the time of admission, they take 89000, which includes admission charges and fees for the first semester. After that, it is about 47000 to 48000 per semester for the rest of the seven semesters. There is a scholarship scheme that is called TFW(tuition fee waiver). There are 5% seats which are reserved for this. You need to be economically weaker and having higher marks in wbjee usually. If you get this seat your admission fee will be 40000 and for the rest, for all the semesters you will need to pay 5500 for the rest of the seven semesters. These is fixed scholarships apart from that if you can pull other scholarships provided by state and central it will be allowed and the college is very supportive in these things whatever you need from college you will get then easily you need to ask it. You can apply for loans also colleges have collaborations with many banks also.

Life is good at campus though i have been there for my first semester at the campus after that covid hit the planet so i am at for like two years now. But i enjoyed the campus life very much. Tech fest and annual fest happens in January. The books are always available you just have to go there at the scheduled time for issuing books though you can go for studying any time. On the campus, there is a very big ground and all the sports facilities are available. There are coaches for every game. There is a collage team also for almost every popular sports. There is also a big sports competition every year. And if you are good at sports you will be getting a chance to play in the college team and you can also get many opprtunities also. There are many clubs like harware club, colding club, tech club, photography club, robotics club, one cultural club and many more clubs are there working in smaller niches. Its a very good way to make friends by going into the clubs.
