I appeared for MT-CET and scored 123/200. I choose this institute because it is well known for it's mechanical and Computer Engineering department. I also had the option for Mechanical but i choose Computer Engineering as i am more interested in Computers.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is pretty good for the Computer Engineering, As my institute is affiliated to University of Mumbai, the study is fully Application Based and NOT research Based. Though the course structure is supported with Lot of projects every semester which will help understand the subject clearly.
Internships Opportunities
No, The College does not provide any Internships opportunity to the students, if the students are interested they need to find on their own for any internships during the vacation slots.
Placement Experience
Placements are actually Very poor in this Institute. This is mainly because most of the students Planning for further Studies sits for the Placement but don't accept the jobs. And even the training and placement cell is not well managed. Companies coming to the college for placements are decreasing over the years.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is not that expensive for general it is around 95000, for OBC it is around 50000, for SC/ST it is 10000 and also for TFWS students it is a minimal amount of 4000. All of which include Tuition fees, Stationery fees etc. So it is quiet feasible.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no scholarship /Loan facility offered by the college, Unless you are from some backward class the fee structure is different than regular students which i have mentioned earlier.
Campus Life
Campus Life is quiet good actually, the crowd here is cosmo (As there is no minority quota in the institute). Gender ratio is around 2:1(Boys:Girls), Most of the students here are from middle-class family. There is also a sports committee managed by the students which organises inter departmental competition for cricket, football, badminton etc.
Exam Structure
There were two mid terms in a Semester the second midterm is pretty hectic for students as submissions for all the the subjects clashes the second mid term. Everyday schedule includes a practical session for 2 hrs for a particular subject.
Admission
I got the admission in the First CAP round itself. The admission process was fully centralized and managed Online by the government website for technical education. The Administration was very well managed, Students were notified to register for admission process just after the CET results were out.
Faculty
The Faculty of Computer Engineering department of this Institute is pretty good and helpful, Most of the teachers are well versed the subjects and have a great knowledge of the subject they are teaching. Though there are some teachers who have ZERO knowledge of the subject and only God Knows what they teach.
