Me and my nice college

I have applied for too many colleges in the JoSAA counselling in a preferential order like IIIT Kota CSE and NIT Jaipur Chemical but I still gave preference to IIIT Sonepat IT due to some reasons. Reasons are like current scenario is demanding CS/IT more than other branches and for college, IIIT Sonepat was superior in placements than above categories. I applied in the counselling with EWS quota but still I obtained this college with my general category rank in the last round.So, I got it with my general JEE Mains rank 23779. To get entry into IIIT Sonepat, students should give JEE Mains exam and try to get a good rank under 20000(not exact but approximation). After giving JEE Mains, I had to take part in JoSAA counselling and due to covid pandemic period my reporting was done completely online. But, in current scenario it will be done offline.

As I got 23779 general category rank in JEE mains rank so I targeted IIIT Sonepat IT. I wanted to choose CSE but went with IT because my rank was not under 18000. Both branches have a good placement record. If I talk about the faculty:student ratio then it is about 1:10 and I think it is a good ratio. All faculty are from IITs, NITs and other reputed top colleges of India. All are PhD degree holder. Their teaching method is very down to earth and practical. There are two mid semester exams and one end semester exam. Mid semester exams nearly happen in a break of one and half-month and end semester exams happen at the end of semester. Their difficulty level is average and questions are made suh that full knowledge of a particular subject is tested.

My seniors are getting good internships with help of the college "Placement and Training Cell". Seniors are getting internships in top companies like nucleus, persistent system, virtually testing foundation, and so on. They are getting stipends in a range of 10k to 50k per month in job profiles like software testing engineers, blockchain engineers, full-stack developers, back-end developers,s and so on. I am in my second year and my batchmates have gotten good internships also with stipends of about 8k to 15k per month. It is also true that the covid pandemic has affected the corporate sector a lot but still IIIT Sonepat has managed a lot in internships and placements.

After students get entered in final year, they become eligible for the campus placements. In terms of placemen, this college is very well. Many famous companies and firms visit the campus to invite studenst like Microsoft, Flipcart, PayTM, Carwale, Amazon, Netflix , Adobe systems and so on. I am sharing placement details for the batch 2017-21. This data involves only IT and CSE data not ECE data. Highest package was 43.8 LPA Average package - 12.7 LPA(approximately) Minimum package - 6-7 LPA(approximately) Percentage placement is about 84-86% I also wants to shine like alumni of my college and wants to get placed in a famous company with good placement.

There is no fee hike done by the college every year but they revise the fee structure after 3-4 years and fee gets increased by about 10k-20k. Fee structure is available on the college website and it nearly costs about 81000 in the first semester and then in other semesters it costs 69000 approximately. It is based on the PPP model so no scholarship is provided by the college but students can apply for scholarships like NSP scholarships and their state scholarships. Students can get internships with the help of college in the third year that provides financial assistance with learning.

Blitz is an annual fest that occurs in the month of February every year. It happened in year 2020 but could not occur in the year 2021 due to the covid pandemic. But the covid condition is improving so it will surely happen in 2022. A library facility is available in the college and students can issue books to study for respective semesters. Classes are being conducted in IIT Delhi Technopark campus which is full of facilities. All classrooms are airy and air-conditioned. Every classroom contains a digital board and necessary furnitures are also present. Every year an inter IIIT competition occurs in the field of chess, basketball, volleyball, kabaddi and some other games. Nearly every month EBSB competitions occur in the college. There are so many clubs available in the college like: 1) E-Cell - Related to entrepreneurship 2) GDSC Codechef chapter - for competitive coding 3) Fitness club - for health and sports and many more.
