Entrance Preview
I took admission in Ramjas College, University of Delhi. The admission was on merit basis of class 12th marks. I had scored above 90% so i easily got admission in the first cut off list. This is one of the best college of delhi University.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course of BSc(H) Mathematics was very vast. It was divided into 6 semesters with each semester having 4 different subjects. The course was completed in 3 years duration. Each semester was of 6 months. With the theory papers we also had to do the practical work on the computers.
Internships Opportunities
As the course done by me was not a professional course so i did not required any kind of internship.
Placement Experience
The college has a dedicated placement cell which helps the students of all the departments in getting placed. Many reputed companies visit the college during the placement drives. Some of them are Wipro, KPMG, Deloite, etc. The average package was around 3.5-4 lakhs per annum.
College Events
The college has many different events in its academic year. It conducts elections for the post of student representative in students union. The union is held in incharge for the college annual festival. It is celebrated for three days. Many different activities takes place in it. Even celebrity performance takes place in college on the final night of fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is very feasible. The fee is submitted for one annual year in the starting of the year. Fee structure is different for different courses. As in my case BSc Mathematics the fees was around 9-10 thousand annually. We only had to deposit the exams fee afterwards that would be around 600-700 rupees.
Exam Structure
The college time was very chilled out. We had semester system so the main exams were in the months of November/December and May/June only. We used to have internal test during the semesters and we were also given assignment to be completed in a given time. The labs were conducted twice a week so the schedule was very relaxed.
Admission
The admission forms for delhi University were out as soon as the class 12th results were declared. After some days of filling the form the first cut off list was declared by the university. I had cleared the first list of ramjas college so i went there to fill the form for my particular stream.
Faculty
The faculty of Ramjas College l, University of Delhi is one of the best among all others colleges. I am not talking about just my course but all the courses available in my college. The faculty members of each department are very friendly and polite. All the teachers took their lectures seriously and on time.
