CET (Bharati Vidyapeeth Peeth) 42. There was a counselling programme. There was no interview. My family comes from a law background so I had to choose law and why New Law College because I did not get through CLAT because my score was low.
Course Curriculum Overview
It's pretty well organised and balanced. The course I opted was BA.LLB and there were two from which I have to choose. One is arts and the other is commerce. So all the subjects which students from BA studies we also cover all those subjects. And we have 10 semesters so there are a lot of subjects on one particular course.
Internships Opportunities
No, they do not . I haven't seen or heard of that sort. They should come up with this feature though because stipend helps students because they know they are earning as well as working.
College Events
There are a lot of events happening every month. Some are sports, some events are related to cultural and some are strictly on aiding the poor concerning legality. The number of participants is high because other colleges are frequently invited to the college to compete with other colleges.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, The scholarships are maybe sponsored by the government of that state which is Maharashtra. As far as I know I don't think they are available.
Campus Life
Gender Ratio: 60:40 60 male and 40 females. Extra curricular activities are prevalent but I won't say that there is much. Ragging is illegal and the college is very serious about it. There is no discrimination as such to any religion or race as far as I've seen.
Hostel Facilities
The capacity of the college hostel is less. Therefore, I stayed in a pg for a year after which I shifted to a flat. The pg for the first year was 75,000 per annum and food was not served. The second and third year I'm living in a flat which I pay 7,000 for a month.
Admission
Through ST Reservation. Received an email calling for counselling after which we had to pay our fees and attach our documents with the challan. Required documents are 12th Marks, ST certificate, Birth Certificate, etc. You can either apply online or go to the administration office and get the prospectus for 700 and the entrance exam for 1500.
Faculty
Certain teachers are good and some are not really interested. Overall it's good. This is prevalent in all colleges. Some teachers are actually dedicated to their work. Some are just doing it for the sake of teaching obviously for money. The qualifications are there some teachers are done with their doctorate.
