Dayanada sagar college of Engineering full review

I consider myself eligible to answer this question as currently, I am studying in this college. I took admission here through the COMEDK exam in which I got 4325 rank. Initially, I got an ECE branch in this college but at the end of counselling I got IS here. To take admission there are three modes: COMEDK, KCET (only for Karnataka students) and Management quota. But honestly, I suggest don't go with the management quota because at the end of 4 years you will spend around 23 lacks for IS branch here which is not good acc. to me. In PSU's you need at least 45% for admission. The campus is awesome lush green. You will be going to have memorable 4 years here.

I have chosen this course because I want to make my career in the IT field. The student faculty ratio here is around 20 for every student. We have proctors on every 30 students who will track our records of how we are performing in academics and all. So, I would say the faculty here is really helpful. Because of covid, our 1st year was of only 9 months so at that time we had exams every 15 days. But not it's going well.

I have no idea about placements here because currently I'm in my 2nd year but I heard from my seniors that if you have basic skills then you can easily get an internship whether paid or unpaid. As you are in the silicon valley of India.

The placements in this college are good but it depends on what kind of student you are, if you will focus on your academics and improve your skill then surely you will go to grab a good placement here. Recently one of our seniors grabbed a placement of 30 lacks CTC of our department. There are so many companies visiting like Infosys, Samsung, Oracle, HCL, cisco etc. Most of the students get placed and some of them opt for higher studies so it's not good to say the placement is 100%. Yeah, but if you are a good student you can do well in life.

For Karnataka students, there are even some students who do not charge fees and if the student is the domicile of Karnataka i.e. through KCET then the fees are around 4 lacks and if you are from COMEDK the fees are around 10 lacks for the entire 4 years. The management quota fees are really really high which depends upon the branch you opt for like for ISE it is around 24 lacks and for CSE around 27 lacs.

CULTURA is the fest which happens here every Saturday. I must say the library is massive which contains all kinds of books related to academics as well as non academics. You can comfortably sit here for a longer time. Classrooms are well equipped with projectors and smartboards. So, many sports clubs are there like Cricket, Football, Volleyball etc.

I have rented a 1 BHK flat which costs around 7000/- p.m. I am staying with one of my roommates. We don't know cooking so we have joined a mess which costs around 3300/- p.m. The reason why I have not chosen the hostel is it's too costly. The NRI hostel costs are 190000 p.y. and simple one costs around 135000/- which has a 4 sharing room. My flat is located approx 800 mts away from college.
