To get a admission in L.D college of engineering is Through ACPC. Admission criteria is 50% of GUJCET percentile + 50% of GUJARAT board percentile. L.D.C.E is the most popular Government College in Gujarat so Merits are high compare to other Government College. From the 2017 year admission is based on GUJCET + BOARD marks. JEE marks are not consider for admission process.

The course duration is 4 years. Faculty members are in our college is very intelligent. All the faculty are minimum Masters Qualification and have a strong educational background. Total 8 semesters are in this course so every semester has 1 Final university exam and 1 midterm exam. The midterm exam is taken by the college itself. The difficulty of both exams is moderate. Faculties are very helpful to the students. If students have doubts then they directly communicate to the faculty without any hesitation. Every year in this course approximately 150 students take admission.

In our college after the 6th semester campus placement are starting every year. Every year 600-700 students are placed on our campus. Top recruiting companies like HSBC, ACCENTURE, TCS, E-INFOCHIPS, BACANY, ADANI PORT, GNFC, HITACHI, RELIANCE, TATA etc., visit our college for placement. The Highest salary package is 10-12 LPA, The average salary package is 4-5 LPA. The lowest salary package is 2.5-3 LPA. In the 2020-21 year 95 companies are visited in campus and they recruit 546 students, still placements not close its running. In Computer engineering course has the highest placement around 80-85 %, some students are not taking a placement due to masters or government exam preparation. Otherwise, it becomes 100% placements

Yearly college fees are only 1500 rs but after including stationary charges, library charges, exam fees it is nearby 2300 rs per year, so basically, it's affordable to all. you can apply for a scholarship like MYSY, Digital Gujarat, NSP etc. If you are a hostler student then you will receive an extra scholarship for hostel and food bill. Jobs offered in our college is highest compared to any other College in GUJARAT. approx every year 600 students are placed in a campus job.

In our college has organised a Tech fest which is LAKSHYA, it is organised by ROBOCON CLUB LDCE. Many students are taking part in many events and some workshops are organised by Experts. There are a lot of books, magazines, different languages newspapers etc. in the college library, if you are free then you should visit the library at least one time. There are many clubs in our college namely Innovator club, robocop club, Sahitya Sarita club, coder`s club, Vox populi club, Rotaract club, NCC etc.
