Remarks
I always wanted to get into Kirori Mal College. However, I took admission in Daulat Ram College initially in the first cutoff because my percentage wasn't up to the first cut-off of Kirori Mal College. In the third cutoff, I got myself enrolled into Kirori Mal College at 97.25%. The admission process was fully online due to COVID 19 but it was very smooth and i didn't face any difficulty in securing admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Bcom as I wanted to get into the commerce field. Teaching faculty was overall good and supportive. My batch started in November,2020 and my semester 1 exams were held in March, 2021. It was a bit quick as our batch was already lagging behind because of COVID 19 and online classes made it more difficult to understand the syllabus. However, it was Open Book Examination so we managed to get good marks.
Internships Opportunities
Our college's placement cell is highly active and it keeps on sending various internships opportunities in WhatsApp and Facebook groups made for students of all the years. I've personally got 3-4 internship opportunities from the placement cell of the college.
Placement Experience
The main reason I chose Kirori Mal College is because of its lucrative placements. In our final year we start getting placements in top companies like DE Shaw, Bains, Amazon etc. Before placements as well we get a lot of internship opportunities from the placement cell and it's highly active.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees were quite affordable as compared to other colleges. It was Rs.12345 in the first year and Rs.11240 in the second year. I'm currently in my second year and I've secured 3 internships from the placement cell of Kirori Mal College till now. Out of these 3, one internship of content writing was fully unpaid as I was a fresher. The other one was graphic designing in which we received a gift voucher of Rs.500 for Amazon per month. The third one was of market research that was the best one so far. It dispatched my joining kit as well that contained a sponsored company T-shirt and mug. It had a stipend of Rs.1000 per month and along with that, it offered a healthy and highly motivated working environment that impressed me a lot.
Campus Life
I haven't got any chance to visit my college campus yet due to COVID 19. About clubs and societies, our college is very active. I've been a part of multiple societies and I've got enough exposure and developed new skills. I was a part of Enactus KMC in my first year. Then in my second year, I became Design head in Peace Club KMC and joined Ritva KMC as well.
