Remarks
IGIT takes its students through an exam called OJEE,which stands for Odisha Joint Entrance examination which is not any separate exam but only a platform of Odisha government where you have to give your JEE-MAINS results and automatically get registered in OJEE. According to your JEE-MAINS mark you will be ranked and you will be alloted your rank and after a week of Registering in OJEE you can apply for colleges with desired stream you want to study in. On the basis if merit you will be alloted your seat according to your priority of preference. And there will be three rounds of allotnment. I secured 227374 rank in JEE mains and was alloted Electronics and Telecommunication(B.Tech) and the last cutoff was 256000 that year for general category. After your final allotment of college you will be given a soecific date to go and register yourself in the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
You will find highly calibrated faculty members in the college for every department who have completed their higher studies from top-notch IITs and NITs. You have 2 internals and one 1-semester exam every semester. Keep attending classes and it will not be difficult to pass the exam. As the institute is an autonomous institute, The courses are vast and modernized based on our future needs.
Internships Opportunities
Internships can be done at Nalco, NTPC, Tata BSL, Tata Steel, and all other desired companies and also the companies that come for placements. You can work under professors and do projects for your betterment.
Placement Experience
From the 2nd semester, you can start applying for internships. Almost all mass recruiters come to the college.66 companies visited and offered 356 positions. avg of 4LPA and highest 10LPA jobs offered. 80% students got placed
Fees and Financial Aid
You have financial assitance from various State government and central government schemes that are present at the moment.Also, it is easy to get education loans and this can be provided by the college itself. For Self-Financing courses the fees are 78000 per year & regular courses is 32000 per year I was placed in Infosys and TCS through campus placement. Companies such as JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Vedanta, Nalco, MCL, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro,Amdocs,mphasis, Tiger Analytics and multiple MNC Startups are prime recruiters.
Campus Life
Every branch has its own departmental fest, and the college has its annual fest named as Horizon which is conducted in February of every year. Two Sports fests are organized named as Utsahan and Athletic meet. smart projectors and monitors are available in every classroom and also have modern labs Clubs of every domain is available and they have their own functions and gatherings as well
Hostel Facilities
Food Quality is moderate, you will find moderate food avialable in the mess. Breakfasts are awesome as you will find Dosa, chaat, and other delicious items. Hostels are affordable inside the campus and off-campus are available at very cheap rates, 1500 to 2000 rupees and AC rooms may come upto 3000 per month All off-campus hostels are walkable distance from college under 500m
