GIET University From My Vision

University is great, Selection criteria simple anyone can apply for admission you may need your JEE mains score for a counseling session. When I was in this university it was a college under BPUT, Rourkela affiliation So we had to travel to a different place for counseling. It may have changed the process as it is a University, You may not need to go anywhere else, all things like counseling, paperwork may be done on the university campus itself. (Again I'm not sure as I was under BPUT). Placement is ok You could say it's okay, 3 to 5 CMM level 5 companies will arrive on campus and you may need to go other places also for pool campus like we had to go to Brahmapur for Cognizant pool campus. Rules are very strict every system has a flaw So, eventually, you'll find one to deal with it. If you are from states like Bihar, Jharkhand, UP then it's gonna take a lot of time to get used to hostel food. Food is Its hostel mess is supposed to be tasty.

I chose CSE because I was good at Coding and the faculty is great here there's an attendance criterion that you need to meet Faculties are well qualified even some of them even passed out from this very college. There were 2 College term exams every 6 months and a weekly test called VST.

After the 6th-semester students will get calls from the placement cell for an on-campus drive. Placement is nice, In my batch 2 to 3 CMM level 5 companies came to college and you need to travel to different places for pool campus drive also like we had to travel to Brahmapur for Cognizant pool campus. on average, you'll get around 2-3 LPA of package.

When I was in this college the fees were around 160000 INR. There will be miscellaneous fees every 3 to 4 months and there will be a late fee also, I suggest you contact the university personnel for a detailed fee structure. And I didn't get placed from this college on campus drive.

They organize an annual fest every year called tech fest in February or March. There's a big library on the campus itself you can issue books. Classrooms have CCTV cameras comfortable bench and even some classrooms have smartboards also. there's a big Football/Cricket ground on the campus, A basketball court and a room with 1 or 2 indoor games like table tennis, carrom, etc.

Hostels have the facility of Cold mineral water and some basic required things like a fan, bulb and 2 sockets for charging. You are not allowed to use any kind of heavy appliances like a water heater, iron, boiler, table fan, etc. Hostel food is not so bad and not so good either, it is not supposed to be tasty but there are some meals that you'll start finding more edible than others with time. The registration process and everything will be done at the time of the admission process. The campus is far away from the main city/market where you find some PG or Room for rent, You are gonna have to take a bus to Auto Rickshaw.
