Remarks
The First thing that everyone should look for is that what is the placement percentage there in the perticular college and branch.So NITK is one of the top NIT(i guess is is 2nd among NIT's) when it comes to the placements.In IT and CSE there is almost 100 % placements and in other branches it is around 80% and that is very good compared to many other collges even better than some iit'sAnd second is the mess food of NITK It s not great for the first year but it will be very good from 2nd year onwards .And the last thing is the BEACH Nitk has it's own private beach which is why NITK was my first choice among all other NIT's
Course Curriculum Overview
I am in the mechanical Engineering department but I would say that the curriculum for all branches are same and Faculties are also very good and helpful ,you can go and some discussion about anything with them so Overall culture of the NITK is great.

Placement Experience
placements are about 80 % for every branch and the package they offer is also very good which you can check on college website.CS and IT departments have almost 100 % placements .if you are studying sincerely then you will get placed
Fee Structure And Facilities
if your family income is less then 4 lakh then you will definitely get a scholarship irrrespective of your branch and catagory.for SC/ST it is already 0 but for OBC/GENERAL also many scholarships will be there and if you are elligible to them you can apply.
Campus Life
It is awesome believe me you will feel like this is what I wanted and have gotNITK campus is full of greenery and SNAKES(!!)(but they will not do anything ,they will just rome around,so you have to just be careful while walking on road)Yes since there will be lot of raining in the Mangalore region, So full green campus and many treesEveryday there will be atleast some activity going on in the campus in which you can take part and have funthere will be a lot of projects also which you will have to do with your batchmates.And the most interesting thing is that there are many technical functions like "ENGINEER" and cultural function like "BHARAT DARSHAN" in which you can also take part and show your skills.How can I forget about the BEACH , you can go to beach anytime to relex.On each and every festival there will be celebration a lot of gupshup, you will enjoy it.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel life is the best part of your life in NITKA lot of friends with whom you will be going to the mess,class and beach will be living in your nearby rooms .In first Year you will get a room in which 3 students will be there and from 2nd year you can opt for 2 students per room,some also get single room(1 person per room).hostels facilities are good and rooms are also very comfortable .
Admission
No,there was No interview for the admission.after the rank cutoff from the college you will be called to college to verify the documents and that is it , you have got the admission to one of the best college in INDIA
