Cultural environment, good placement in CSE, large campus, health and hygiene maintained. Good accommodation. Food is not that good but still better than many college mess. Academics can be very hectice sometimes. I read from quora.com about the college. I was about to go Nagpur NIT but I got into this. The campus is really beautiful, totally pollution free and resourceful. Above all placement is too good. Large MNCs come and offer very good packages.Well college curriculum is not gonna help in your placement but that is an open secret.

Course is usually as much as other NiTs standard but not very updated. It's too theoretical and research based. In cse there is no appreciation for software development but knowledge in core subjects. Well that truly boosts your confidence though. But still you have to learn the industry's sought skills on your own. (Ml, Android dev, web dev) these are mostly not on course. 2 or 3 teachers were really good. Except teachers who makes you gaze through the subject is very less. You might often find the lectures boring.

Yes one I got under qualcomm on campus from college third year and the other I got at Continental (off campus) not from college 2nd year. On campus internship opportunities come from 3rd year only.

Campusing is good as mentioned earlier. In circuital branches big comapnies and many opportunities visit. Other branches have their fixed set of companies core to the dept and lesser in number. But a lot of analytics companies visit for all departments. So opportunities are there in abundance. You have to be sincere to get picked. Keep your cg atleast 8. 8.5 is better. Coz some company have cg filter.

If your family income less than 1 lpa you get total tution fee waiver. If less than 5 lakhs you get half tution fee waiver. Otherwise each semester you pay approx 90-95k. Where 50k around is tution fee. Total 8 semesters in btech course. Got internships at qualcomm and got ppo at the same. There are sone scholarships given and awards given for best academics.

Many cultural groups are there. Singing coding animal welfare social welfare everything has one or more groups. Campus life is very vibrant there. You meet and talk with different people. Sports is a very appreciated sector in college. We have won many inter NIT awards in sports. Basket ball, cricket, volleyball, kabaddi, badminyon all are there. There are two huge grounds for sport and many in house sports area. The tech and cultural fests are amazing. Cultural fest is one of the best at whole oddisha.

Geyser,24-7 water and drinking water is there. Rooms are clean and cleaned weekly by the maids. Everything comes under hostel fee. Don't worry about that. Don't rent a room stay in the hostels they are good. First two years double room and last two years single room. Rooms are mostly spacious and arial.
