Remarks
This was one of the best ranked colleges in Pune at that time. Admission process was through CAP. There were plenty of research opportunities and that's why I chose this college. Placement process was also very smooth .
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum was tough because it was under Pune University. Faculty: Student Ratio is 1:70. Qualifications- M.Sc, M.Tech, Phd. Teaching method was very unique and not according to any textbook. Exams were semester basis and there were 2 exams for each subject in each semester. Exams were difficult to pass and approximately 15% students failed in exams.
Internships Opportunities
No I did not opt for any internship as it was not mandatory for our college.
Placement Experience
Campus placements start from 8th semester onwards. I don't have concrete details about no of offers. Very less companies visited the campus and 50% of students got placed overall. Highest package was 30 LPA and average package was 4 LPA. My plans were working at a firm and then planning for MBA
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee was 1 lakh per year and there were no hikes in all 4 years. Scholarships were only for Reservation Quotas. No campus jobs were available. Financial assistance was also not provided to any student.
Campus Life
Life is great and everything you need is nearby. Annual fest is the Sinhgad Karandak and organized in January-February. Books are available in the huge library of the college. Classrooms are not upto the mark. Sports and extra curricular activities are mostly around the annual fest.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel has had 4 floors, with 28 rooms on each floor and each room had 4 beds for 4 students. Mess food is the worst. Menu is changed every day but of very bad quality. Hostel is pretty affordable and mess fees is included.
Admission
No there was no any Group Discussion, Interview or Written Test for the admission as the admission process was through CAP from Maharashtra DTE and it was a direct admission process.
